The Indian Market is set to experience launch of 4 New Models boasting crazy new features to ensure it not only appeals to the consumers but gives them the much needed sales figures that they aim to. These 4 Models are – Honda Amaze, Hyundai Creta EV, Kia Syros, and the Tata Harrier EV. Let’s take a look at these upcoming models

New 3rd Gen Honda Amaze

Launch: December 3rd, 2024

Honda is all set to launch all-new 3rd generation Amaze sedan which rivals the recently launched new 4th Gen Maruti Dzire; Tata Tigor, and Hyundai Aura. Honda released teasers, but we had the spy shots revealing the real life images of sedan showing the exterior with the front profile having elevate-like grille and headlamps unit while the rear is similar to City’s. Following are the engine specs of the upcoming new Honda Amaze:

• 1.2 L 4 Cylinder Petrol – 88.50 BHP, 110 NM Torque – 5 Speed Manual (MT), and CVT Transmission

Mechanically, it’s likely to be the same as the current version.

Honda is expected to keep the pricing of the new Amaze between Rs. 7.50 – Rs. 10 Lakh.

Hyundai Creta EV

Launch: January 2025

The Hyundai Creta EV retains the bold design of the ICE Creta Facelift with updates like a closed-off grille, redesigned bumpers, and new aero-efficient 18-inch alloy wheels. It features connected LED tail-lamps and an aerodynamic spoiler at the rear. Inside, the cabin is same as ICE version like dual 10.25-inch displays serve as the digital cluster and infotainment system, with the drive selector now on the steering column, new steering wheel with 4 dots which in morse code means Hyundai.

Powered by a 45 kWh LG Chem battery, it aims for a range of 450–500 km, though practical use may yield 250–300 km. Fast-charging from 10–80% takes 21 minutes with an ultra-fast charger. Key amenities include front ventilated seats, a 360 Surround View Camera, Level 2 ADAS, and a Bose Sound System. Expected to be priced between Rs. 18 – 25 lakhs, it launches in January 2025, competing with the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, and also upcoming Mahindra’s BE.6e.

Kia Syros

Expected Launch: ICE – Jan 2025; EV – H2 2025

Kia’s will be unveiling the name of it’s upcoming new Compact SUV, Syros on December 19th which embodies Kia’s Opposites United design, features a bold exterior with a tall stance, upright hood, and aggressive grille. It stands out with diamond-cut 16-inch alloy wheels (17-inch optional) and measures likely more than 4 meters in length, offering more space than the Kia Sonet. Inside, it has seamless integrated dual 10.25-inch displays, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a dual-tone dashboard, and a panoramic sunroof. Upholstery options could include full white or black leatherette.

Engine options include:

• 1.2L 4-cylinder petrol: 81.8 BHP, 115 NM, 6-speed MT
• 1.0L 3-cylinder turbo petrol: 118.35 BHP, 172 NM, 6-speed iMT or 7-speed DCT
• 1.5L 4-cylinder diesel: 113 BHP, 250 NM, 6-speed MT/iMT/AT

Kia is expected to launch the Syros SUV between in Jan 2025 at the Bharat Mobility Expo, with the electric version arriving in 2nd half of 2025. Pricing of ICE is anticipated between Rs. 9 – Rs. 17 Lakhs.

Tata Harrier.ev

Launch: By March 2025

Tata Motors showcased the production-ready Harrier.ev at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2024 held in February, with its launch confirmed for March 2025. Built on the Acti.ev platform, shared with the Punch.ev and Curvv.ev, the Harrier.ev closely resembles its ICE counterpart but incorporates EV-specific design elements. These include a closed front fascia with horizontal slats, EV badging above the door cladding, and redesigned alloy wheels. The interior features a dual-tone white and grey theme, updated infotainment and digital cluster interfaces, and new seat upholstery.

Battery Specs:

• 60 kWh Battery Pack – Front-Wheel-Drive [FWD] & 4-Wheel-Drive [4WD] – 450-550 KMs Range

Key features include front ventilated seats, powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital cluster, dual-zone climate control, seven airbags, a JBL sound system, and a powered tailgate.
