Other than the recent Creta Facelift launch, Hyundai Motors is set to launch 4 new SUVs for the Indian Market and these 4 SUVs are either facelift updates or an electric SUV. In this article, we’ve listed all the details on these 4 SUVs from Hyundai before it launches!
Hyundai Alcazar Facelift (Expected: Early-to-Mid 2024)
The new Alcazar Facelift will closely resemble the Creta facelift like connected LED DRLs, connected LED Taillights, and Quad-Beam LED Headlamps; while the bumpers and the front radiator grille design will be slightly updated to differentiate the two SUVs against each other. The interiors will closely look the same as the recently launched Creta Facelift like seamless integrated dual 10.25-inch displays, touch-sensitive HVAC control, redesigned centre console, new 4-spoke steering wheel, and much more. The 2nd row might get new captain seats upholstery design to enhance the feeling. Rest of it will remain the same.
In Engine Options, the Alcazar will continue to be powered by the same 1.5 L Turbo Petrol with 6 Speed Manual and 7 Speed dCT Gearbox and the 1.5 L Diesel Engine with 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox. The Alcazar will be getting new features like co-driver powered seats, powered tailgate, dual-zone climate control, and Level 2 ADAS with features same as the 2023 Hyundai Verna such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Monitoring System, and many more.
We expect Hyundai to launch the Alcazar Facelift to launch alongside the Creta Facelift or in the first half of 2024 with expected price of Rs. 17 lakhs.

Hyundai Tucson Facelift (Expected: Mid 2024)
Hyundai had globally unveiled the new Tucson Facelift and is expected to make its way to India by Mid 2024. It will have more tough external and interior improvements, and it will flaunt a “Sensuous Sportiness” design language. Redesigned LED lights, a redesigned front grille, a lower bumper, large fake skid plates, and lower air dams are a few examples of these.
Moreover, it’ll get new dual 12.3-inch display for the infotainment system and instrument cluster, the cabin has also been redesigned with a new steering wheel and dashboard design. The cabin improvements also include premium seating, including an 8-way adjustable passenger seat, a 10-way adjustable driver seat with memory capability, and heated and ventilated rear seats. A 2.0L gasoline and 2.0L diesel engine paired with a 6 Speed Manual or 8 Speed Automatic Gearbox will power the facelifted Hyundai Tucson.
Hyundai Kona EV Facelift (Expected: H2 2024)
The Hyundai Kona EV has received significant international updates, particularly in terms of safety and comfort features, along with a redesigned exterior. We anticipate that the same updated model will be introduced in India, likely at a higher price point. However, this means Indian buyers will get the current generation model with updated interiors. The new interior features will include two 12.3-inch displays for the digital instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, connected car technology, and more.
Globally, the Hyundai Kona is available with two battery packs and motor options. For the Indian market, it’s expected that the lower-powered motor, delivering 158 BHP and 250 NM of torque, along with the smaller 48.4 kWh battery pack, will be offered. Hyundai claims a WLTP-claimed range of 490 KM, but real-world range for the previous model in India was around 220 to 250 KM
In India, the Hyundai Kona EV will face competition from the MG ZS EV, Tata Nexon.ev, upcoming new Mahindra XUV400 EV, and the BYD Atto 3 in the electric vehicle segment.
Hyundai Creta EV (Expected: Late 2024)
Hyundai has finally launched the ICE version for the Indian Market but now it also wants to launch the electric version as well. The electric version of the Creta has been spotted testing many times with the pre-facelift design in India, however, in Korea, it was spotted with the new facelift version body with front changes like the connected dual L-shaped DRLs and Taillamps, new seamlessly integrated 10.25-inch dual displays, closed grille for the EV, and so on.
Rest in features, everything will be the same like ventilated seats, electric parking brake, ADAS, 360 Surround View Camera, and so on. Moreover, the EV will be equipped with a battery pack between 45 – 50 kWh with single and dual motor setup giving range of 500 KMs. On its launch, it’ll compete with the upcoming Maruti eVX due for 2024 launch as well.
