1. Tata Punch
Tata had launched the Punch SUV in 2021 in order to make it more accessible for people to buy. Punch was testing at the Global NCAP securing 5 Star Safety Rating out of which it scored 5 Stars in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 4 Stars in Child Occupant Protection. The SUV is available in both ICE and EV version as well. The ICE version is priced between Rs. 6.13 – Rs. 10.20 Lakh and the EV version is priced between Rs. 10.99 – Rs. 15.49 Lakh.
2. Tata Altroz
The Altroz was the first hatchback in its segment to secure 5 Stars Safety Rating at the Global NCAP. It scored 5 Stars in Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 4 Stars in Child Occupant Protection. The Altroz comes powered by the 1.2 L Turbo Petrol, 1.2 L CNG, and 1.5 L Diesel Engine. The hatchback will also be getting a sportier version, known as Altroz Racer with all the premium features that no brands in the segment is offering. The standard Altroz is priced between Rs. 6.65 – Rs. 10.80 Lakh.
3. Tata Nexon
Tata Nexon before its facelift update had secured 5 Star Safety Rating at Global NCAP, but after the facelift, it was send again for crash test and secured the same rating. It had scored 5 Star in AOP and 4 Stars in COP. The Nexon is available in both ICE and EV version, with CNG Fuel Option launching soon as well. It has features like 360 Camera, Front Ventilated Seats, 10.25-inch Display in ICE version and 12.3-inch in EV version, Digital Cockpit Cluster, Sunroof, and so much more. The ICE version is priced between Rs. 7.99 to Rs. 15.80 Lakh, and the EV version is priced between Rs. 14.49 – Rs. 19.49 Lakh.
4. Mahindra XUV3XO
Mahindra recently launched the XUV3XO which is essentially a renamed XUV300. It had scored 5 Star Safety Rating at Global NCAP, out of which 5 Stars were for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 4 Stars in Child Occupant Protection (COP). The XUV3XO gets three engine options – Two 1.2 L Turbo Petrol engines, and One 1.5 L Diesel Engine. An electric version is expected to launch later this year. The SUV sports features like 360 Camera, Level 2 ADAS, Panoramic Sunroof, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, Dual-Zone Climate Control, and so on. It’s priced at Rs. 7.49 – Rs. 15.49 Lakhs.
5. Hyundai Verna
Hyundai Verna is the first affordable sedan in the segment to secure 5 Star Rating at Global Rating. It’s the 3rd sedan in the segment to score 5 Stars, it’s affordable compared to its rivals. It scored 5 Stars both in Adult and Child Occupant Protection. The 6th Generation Verna was launched last year with some interesting updates along with new features like Level 2 ADAS, Heated Seats, Powered Front Seats, Electric Parking Brake, 8 Speaker Bose Sound System, and so much more. It’s priced between Rs. 11 – Rs. 17.42 Lakh.
