The Indian Market will see the launch of 5 New Cars under Rs. 10 Lakhs with features that exists only in luxurious cars and performance like a sports car. This 5 cars consists of Facelift, new Fuel Option, next-generation updates, and new car. In this article, we’ve explained all the details of these upcoming cars and why you shouldn’t rush into making a bad decision.
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift (Expected: Late February – Early March 2024)
Mahindra after months of testing the XUV300 Facelift is all set to launch the SUV in the early 2024, possibly in the month of February 2024. The SUV will undergo many changes from the outside and the inside like the exterior will see new LED headlamp unit with C-shaped Dual-functional LED that works as DRLs and Indicators, new rectangle black element on the grille, new bumper design, and flat bonnet for increased visibility. The side profile remains the same except for the new alloy wheel design. The rear will feature new LED taillamps and a LED light bar for a connected light sequence
Inside, it’ll get revised dashboard design to cater the free-standing 10.25-inch infotainment system, new 4-spoke steering wheel and digital instrument cluster, thinner AC vents, redesigned centre console, and new colour for leather seat upholstery. In Engine Options, it’ll continue to be offered with 1.2 L Turbo Petrol and 1.5 L Diesel Engine with no change in power output and gearbox choices. Moreover, the SUV will feature panoramic sunroof, Level 1 ADAS, ventilated seats, wireless charger, and so much more.
New-Gen Maruti Swift (Expected: Late February – Mid March 2024)
Maruti has been testing the new Swift for a while, and it gets changes like redesigned front grille and bumper design while retaining headlamps and tail lamps shape with C-shape LED element but looks a bit sharper compared to the outgoing version. The new Swift is basically an heavily updated hatchback with slight growth in dimensions like its 15 MM longer, 40 MM narrower, and 30 MM taller. The wheelbase remains unchanged, 2450 MM.
The interiors resemble the Fronx, Baleno like switchgear, HVAC controls, floating 9-inch touchscreen infotainment, analog instrument cluster, steering wheel, etc. The Swift showcased at TMS had ADAS however, rumors says the test mule spied in India had ADAS, so it remains if the Swift will get ADAS or not. In Engine Options, the Swift debuted all-new 1.2 L 3 Cylinder petrol engine (codenamed as Z12). We expect the power output to be on lower side while torque is on higher side to achieve better fuel efficiency. Moreover, the Swift may get mild-hybrid tech as well.
In Features, it has 360 Surround View Camera, Wireless Apple Carplay & Android Auto, Wireless Charging Pad, 6 airbags, and so much more.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Taisor (Expected: H1 2024)
Toyota is expected to launch the Fronx-based SUV, Urban Cruiser Taisor with front exterior change inspired from either the Hyryder, or from the Glanza. The Interiors however will be same as Fronx and it’ll be just a software and logo change. Even in Dimensions, the SUV measures the same as the Maruti Fronx. In Engine Options, the Taisor should have three options – 1.2 L Petrol paired to 5 Speed MT / AMT, 1.0 L Turbo Petrol paired to 5 Speed MT, 6 Speed AT, and 1.2 L CNG mated to 5 Speed MT Gearbox only.
In Features, the Taisor will come with features like LED Projector headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, 9-inch infotainment system with Wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, wireless charging pad, 6-speaker Arkamy’s sound system, and more. Safety features include six airbags, 360 Surround View camera, automatic headlamps, Heads-up Display, Cruise Control, Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Assist, ISOFIX anchorages, and Front Disc Brakes.
Lastly, the Urban Cruiser Taisor is expected to be priced from Rs. 8 Lakh for the entry-level variant.
Tata Nexon CNG (Expected: H1 2024)
Tata Motors showcased the Nexon CNG at the Bharat Mobility Expo and visually it looks the same as the standard version. Tata is likely to offer the CNG options up to the Creative Plus variant. What’s interesting is that the Nexon doesn’t have a normal Petrol engine but rather a turbo one, and with CNG coming as an option; this would make the Nexon, the first SUV to come in Turbo CNG form. The Gearbox options are likely to 5 Speed Manual and 5 Speed Automatic (AMT) Gearbox making it the first SUV as well to get automatic option in CNG. In Features, it’ll get like 10.25-inch infotainment system, Front & Rear Parking Sensors, 6 Airbags, Wireless Charging Pad, and so much more.
New Tata Altroz Racer (Expected: H2 2024)
Tata Motors showcased the Altroz Racer at the Bharat Mobility Expo and it revealed many things. First thing first, the hatchback will measure the same as the standard one, no increase and decrease. Powering the hatchback is the 1.2 L 3 Cylinder i-Turbo Petrol engine that has been tuned to produce 118.35 BHP and 170 NM of torque paired to 6 Speed Manual, and 7 Speed DCT Gearbox. The Altroz Racer gets new chequered flag stripes on the bonnet, new multi-spoke design for the alloy wheels, and connected taillamps at the rear.
From the inside, however, it gets new 10.25-inch Infotainment System and 7-inch Digital Instrument Cluster which is similar to the Nexon’s mid-variants cluster. However, only the top trim may possibly get the 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Cluster. Other than that, there is no changes in the looks. In Features, the Altroz Racer will be getting ventilated seats, 360 Surround View Camera with front and rear parking sensors, wireless charging pad, and its possible the top trim will get the Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold Function.
It is expected to launch early in the second half of 2024.
