Kia offers the Carnival with a V6 Engine internationally, expect the 2.2 L Diesel Engine to be offered, while it’s possible Kia could replace the V6 Engine in India with the 2.0 L Turbo Petrol Engine.
The Carnival has features like dual 10.25-inch display, ventilated and heated seats, a single-pane sunroof, and a panoramic sunroof, 360 Surround View Camera, Level 2 ADAS, and so much more. Kia had showcased the EV9 at the Auto Expo 2023 in January, and then few months later launched their flagship three-row SUV in South Korea, and other markets. Kia confirmed that its looking to expand the reach of EV9 to other international markets, and one of them confirmed to launch is India. The EV9 measures more than 5 Meters in Length, and is built on their Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). Kia claims the EV9 on a single charge can travel up to 541 KMs, and is offered in two variants.
The Standard trim comes with 76.1 kWh battery pack with a single motor powering the rear wheels producing 214.5 BHP and 350 NM of torque and sprints from 0 – 100 KMPH in 8.2 seconds at a 185 KMPH top speed. Another Option is the All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) with dual motor setup generating 380 BHP and 600 NM of torque and accelerates from 0 – 100 KMPH in 5.3 seconds at 200 KMPH top speed.
The Kia EV9 was tested at the European NCAP (ENCAP) and scored 5 Star Safety Rating, Hence, when it launches in India, Kia would likely send the EV9 to the Bharat NCAP (BNCAP) and since the BNCAP and GNCAP (Global NCAP) are similar, the EV9 could scored 5 Star Safety Rating as well.
The new Fortuner will get changes like new front face which looks a semi-hexagon shape grille with three horizontal slats and new sharper looking tri-cube LED headlights with sleeker looking LED DRLs with in the headlamp unit. The side profile will look the same except it’ll sport new set of alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, it’s likely the new Fortuner will get connected LED taillamps and new bumper design both the front and the rear.
Jumping to the Cabins, it’s possible it will get subtle change in dashboard design to accommodate a bigger free-standing 10.25-inch infotainment system with slimmer AC vents below, new fully digital instrument cluster, and new 4-spoke steering wheel. Moreover, the 2nd-row could get the Ottoman Seats seen in the HyCross as many of its rivals offer Captain Seats, and Toyota could follow the same footstep with the Fortuner.
The New Fortuner will continue to sport the 2.8 L 4 Cylinder Diesel and 2.7 L Petrol engine except both will be paired to the 48V battery for the mild-hybrid to reduce emissions and achieve better fuel efficiency. It is likely the power and the torque output will remain the same. In the new-gen Fortuner, it’ll have new features like 10.25-inch infotainment system, new digital instrument cluster, ottoman seats in 2nd row, 360 Surround View Camera, and we could see the return of the 11 Speaker JBL Sound System.

MG Motors was spotted testing the Gloster Facelift for the first time in India few weeks ago, and while it fully camouflaged, it still revealed certain details that help us identify how the SUV is going to look. The Gloster Facellift will look almost identical to the LDV D90 showcased in Australia and New Zealand. It’ll undergo heavy changes like new rectangle-shape grille pattern, new headlamps, new connected taillamps, updated bumpers, and so much more.
The cabin will be updated like the new infotainment system, redesigned dashboard and center console, two new rotary dials for drive modes, and 4×4 selector, but retains the slimmer AC vents, and the steering wheel. As for the powertrains, MG offers 2.2 L Single Turbo, and Twin-Turbo Engine mated to 8 Speed Torque Converter Automatic in India, and will probably continue to offer the same option.
As for the features, it has heated and ventilated seats, Level 2 ADAS, new digital instrument cluster, 3-zone climate control, 360-Surround View Camera, Powered Front Seats, 4×4 Drive Selector, Captain Seats in second-row, 12 Speaker Sound System, Automatic Power Tailgate, Electro-mechanical Differential Lock and so much more.

Skoda along the reveal of 4th Gen Superb also revealed the new 2nd-Gen Kodiaq which is styled on the “Modern Solid” philosophy as it features a very rugged, bold look over the 1st Gen predecessor. The 2nd Kodiaq is bigger in dimensions which means that 3rd Row space has improved while also having more space to store stuff. The interior widely looks very similar to the new 4th Gen Superb and now it looks premium and kind of luxurious as well while also having a mix of physical and touch-sensitive buttons.
The new Kodiaq is powered by the 2.0 L Petrol and Diesel Engine along with a new plug-in hybrid and mild-hybrid 1.5 L Petrol Engines. Moreover, Skoda offers 4×4 drivetype only for the Diesel Automatic. The new Kodiaq will be making its way to India in 2024 but we’ve no idea of what powertrain it’ll be equipped or is it going to be a complete CBU unit.
