With 2023 almost over, Mahindra is looking to begin the 2024 with a bang and also end the year on a big note as it has lined-up 7 New Cars Launches for 2024 with some of them are facelift updates, or entirely new car. In this article, we’ll list everything we know about these 7 Mahindra Car Launches so far!
Mahindra XUV300 Facelift (Expected: Early 2024)
Mahindra after months of testing the XUV300 Facelift is all set to launch the SUV in the early 2024, possibly in the month of February 2024. The SUV will undergo many of changes from the outside and the inside like the exterior will see new LED headlamp unit with C-shaped Dual-functional LED that works as DRLs and Indicators, new rectangle black element on the grille, new bumper design, and flat bonnet for increased visibility. The side profile remains the same except for the new alloy wheel design. The rear will feature new LED taillamps and a LED light bar for a connected light sequence
Inside, it’ll get revised dashboard design to cater the free-standing 10.25-inch infotainment system, new 4-spoke steering wheel and digital instrument cluster, thinner AC vents, redesigned centre console, and new colour for leather seat upholstery. In Engine Options, it’ll continue to be offered with 1.2 L Turbo Petrol and 1.5 L Diesel Engine with no change in power output and gearbox choices. Moreover, the SUV will feature panoramic sunroof, Level 1 ADAS, ventilated seats, wireless charger, and so much more.
Mahindra XUV300 EV (Expected: Mid 2024)
Mahindra XUV300 EV was seen testing on the roads which will look closely similar to the ICE version and will have same features with an addition of electric parking brake with auto hold function. The XUV300 EV will be positioned below the XUV400 EV, and could sport a battery pack of around 30 kWh to offer range of 350 KMs. The EV will compete with the likes of Nexon.ev.
Updated Mahindra XUV400 EV (Expected: Early-Mid 2024)
Mahindra was spotted testing the XUV400 EV and it was seen with cosmetic changes similar to the XUV300 Facelift. Moreover the interiors will get updated as well with new dashboard design, infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, and will compete with the top trims of Tata Nexon.ev. The XUV400 EV is expected to launch in the early to mid 2024 with increase in price, and is expected to start from Rs. 16.50 – Rs. 20 Lakh.
Mahindra Thar 5 Door (Expected: Mid-to-Late 2024)
Mahindra has been testing the Thar 5 Door for a very long time and we know for sure that it won’t launch in the early 2024 since they’ve their hands full with the XUV300 Facelift, XUV300 EV, and XUV400 EV. It only makes sense to launch the Off-road SUV after June 2024. The Thar 5 Door offers way more space and off-road capabilities than the 3 Door Version. The exterior features H-pattern grille, round LED Headlamps with DRLs inside, LED fog lamps on the bumpers, fixed roof with sunroof, and pull tailgate with rear windshield possibly could be opened.
The Thar 5 Door will retain 2 Engine Options from the 3 Door versions – 2.0 L Turbo Petrol and 2.2 L Diesel Engine with 6 Speed Manual, and Automatic Gearbox. The SUV is built on the 3-Door’s ladder-frame chassis which will allow the 5 Door version to be spacious without the need of sacrificing its off-road capabilites. Moreover, it’ll be getting new features like 10.25-inch infotainment system, Scorpio-N like Semi-Digital Instrument Cluster, Armrests for Driver, Wireless Charging Pad, Limited Slip Differential, and so much more.
It’ll compete with the Maruti Jimny, and the upcoming 5-Door Force Gurkha.
New Mahindra XUV700 6 Seater Trim (Expected: Early 2024)
The Mahindra XUV700 is a huge success for the company but it still missed out on few features like ventilated seats, auto-dimming IRVM, and most importantly, captain seats for 2nd row. Mahindra was spotted with a 6 Seater trim that had these features, and few weeks ago, the brochure had leaked which eventually confirmed a new 6 Seater trim will be introduced, likely in the early 2024, which will be denoted as “AX9.”
Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus (Expected: 2024)
Mahindra is working on the new Bolero Neo Plus for quite some time now. You may have already seen the leak images of the car on the internet, how it’s going to look, and what engines are going to power the Neo Plus. But earlier this year, an Type Approval Certificate got leaked, that had technical information of the car. The Bolero Neo Plus will come with a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 118.35 BHP which is 11.83 BHP less than the Thar and Scorpio Classic.
The Bolero Neo Plus in economy mode will get it’s power reduced to 92.71 BHP. It’ll be available in 7 variants – P4, P4 7-str, P10, P10 (R), P10 7-str, P10 (R) 7-str, and an Ambulance variant P4 with Stretcher. The Bolero Neo Plus will continue to be a Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) and it’ll an affordable version of the Scorpio Classic. The Bolero Neo Plus was expected to launch back in September 2023, but instead the ambulance version of the Bolero Neo Plus was launched, and now we expect it to launch sometime in 2024.
Mahindra XUV.e8 (Expected: December 2024)
Mahindra was seen testing the XUV700-based electric SUV, XUV.e8 which is said to launch in December 2024. The XUV.e8 will look slightly different over the ICE Version of XUV700 like closed front grille, slightly different bumpers, and tweaked taillamps. Moreover, the EV will get triple-screen layout for the luxurious experience with size likely to be of 10.25-inch. This triple screen layout is focused on three elements – one for co-passenger to watch Netflix and other stuff, center infotainment system for EV details, and the digital instrument cluster.
It could sport a 50 – 60 kWh battery pack to offer range of 500+ KMs. The XUV.e8 will compete with the upcoming Tata Harrier.ev and Safari.ev. More details of the electric SUV should be made public soon in the coming months.
