7 Upcoming SUVs Under Rs. 10 Lakhs Launching Soon!

In the coming months, we’re gonna see launch of 7 Upcoming SUVs that is priced under Rs. 10 lakhs from six carmakers – Hyundai, Kia, Tata, Nissan, Toyota, and Mahindra. These Upcoming SUVs will see exterior and interior changes, introduction of new features, and one SUV is just rebadged from other carmaker. Well, why don’t we list down what these 7 Upcoming SUVs are going to feature!

Hyundai Exter (Launch: July 10th, 2023)

Hyundai Motors will be launching the Micro SUV, Exter, on July 10th that will seat below the Venue SUV in line-up. At the front side, it has a H-shaped LED DRLs connected via a black strip which could possibly be a LED light bar for top variant. Below the LED DRL is the headlamps that is square shape projector headlamps which could be LED for top variants.

The Exter rides on 16-inch alloy wheels with a funky design, and from the side, you’ll realize it has an upright stance with dual-tone treatment for the A and B-pillar. The doors seems to be big to accommodate easy in’s and out’s of the SUV. At the rear, it features an H-shaped taillamps with parametric pattern on the element at the center with Hyundai logo on it. The bumpers are skid plates and a small roof spoiler with shark fin antenna on top. 

It has features like the 8-inch infotainment system, wireless charging pad, 4.2-inch digital instrument cluster, voice commands, single-pane sunroof, and so on. The Exter is powered by the petrol and CNG powertrain – It has a 1.2-litre Kappa Engine produces 81.8 bhp and 113.8 Nm of torque paired to a 5-speed Manual Gearbox, and 5-speed Automatic Gearbox. The other is the 1.2-litre Bi-Fuel (CNG) engine that puts out 67.72 bhp and 95.2 Nm of torque mated to a 5-speed Manual Gearbox only, no Automatic Gearbox on offer.

Tata Nexon Facelift (Expected Launch: August 2023)

Tata Motors had been consistently testing the Nexon facelift and might be speeding up the testing process to soon launch the facelift in India as there are rumor stating that Tata Motors will begin the production of the Nexon facelift in July 2023 and launch it in August 2023. The interiors of the Nexon facelift had leaked and it showed that the dashboard layout is heavily inspired from their own mid-size Curvv SUV slated to launch in 2024.

The leak images showed it having the two-spoke multi-function steering wheel with a display on it, and a new 10.25-inch Infotainment system which is much more responsive than the current one with 7-inch infotainment system it has currently. It’ll also sport new features like the 360-degree camera, digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, and Increased Safety like six airbags as standard, and disc brakes for all four wheels. The Nexon facelift will also see exterior changes such as a new front design with slightly aggressive bumpers.

Kia Sonet Facelift (Expected Launch: December 2023)

Kia was spotted testing the Sonet facelift in Korea as the test mule was exported from India to the headquarters of Kia. There will be few design tweaks over the current one which are barely visible because it is heavily covered. The facelift will get crisper headlamp design and piano-black finished grille which is newly designed; the headlamps appears to be connected with the fog lamps vertically which might be used as LED DRLs or turn indicators, and a new bumper with large fog-lamps.

At the rear, the Sonet has L-shaped tail lamps similar to the one seen on the upcoming Seltos or on the Kia Carens where as the current one has straight tail lamps with cube-shaped light inside the tail lamps which works as brake lights and for parking lights. The Sonet is already a feature-loaded compact SUV, and to add more, it could introduce 360-degree camera, 8-speaker Bose sound system, more color options in Ambient lighting, and introduce first-in segment features. The Kia Sonet facelift is expected in the coming months possibly before the end of this year.

Toyota Taisor (Expected Launch: November 2023)

Toyota will be rebadging the Maruti Suzuki Fronx SUV as Taisor. In design, it is expected to be influenced by the global Yaris Cross and have the same features from the Fronx like 360-degree camera, Wireless Charging Pad, 9-inch infotainment system, Heads-up Display, 16-inch alloy wheels, and few more. In Engine Options, it’ll have the same engine options as the Fronx which is the 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 87.29 bhp and 113 Nm of torque mated to 5-speed Manual and 5-speed Automatic Gearbox, and the other will be a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine producing 98.69 bhp and 147.6 Nm of torque paired to 5-speed Manual and 6-speed Automatic Gearbox.

The interior styling and layout will most likely remain the same as the Fronx. As for the launch, it is possible that Toyota could launch the Taisor in the first week of November 2023 as part of their 6-months deal and price it at Rs. 7.56 lakh for the entry-level variant.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift (Expected Launch: December 2023)

Mahindra was spotted testing the XUV300 facelift with new tailgate which is flatter and possibly connected LED light bar with the taillights. From what was seen in the spy shots, the XUV300 will remain unchanged except for the cosmetic changes, and it could get a new alloy wheel sets as well. The interiors of the XUV300 in the spy shots cannot be seen, but Mahindra could add new features in the SUV such as bigger infotainment system, ventilated seats, digital instrument cluster, and many more.

The design could change due to Mahindra cutting ties with Ssangyong, Korean carmaker as the current XUV300 design is styled in line with the Ssangyong Tivoli. The new design could take cues from the XUV700, or Scorpio-N. It is possible that Mahindra could launch the facelift of the XUV300 before the end of this year to take on it’s rivals.

Hyundai Venue Next-Gen (Expected Launch: December 2024)

While the next-gen Venue hasn’t been spotted yet, it is rumored to be in development for launch in 2024. In 2022, the Hyundai Venue had got facelift and saw refreshed exterior design like the Tucson-inspired front face, and connected LED taillights design, and interior changes. Well, the Next-Gen Hyundai Venue is expected to get Verna-inspired front face look while retaining the rear connected LED taillights design.

From the inside, it is possible it’ll get integrated dual 10.25-inch display – one for infotainment system, and one for digital instrument cluster. Other than that, it’ll boast new features like the ventilated seats, 360-degree camera, 8-speaker Bose sound system, more color options for ambient lights, dual dashcams, and more connected car tech. Hyundai could also introduce a new 1.5 L turbo petrol engine for the 2024 Venue with 157 bhp and 253 Nm of torque that’ll come with 6-speed iMT, and 7-speed DCT Gearbox.

Nissan Magnite Facelift (Expected Launch: 2024)

At the moment, not a single spy shots of the Nissan Magnite Facelift has been spotted. However, the facelift update of the Magnite is expected to be in works with exterior change like the front honeycomb grille replaced with the signature Nissan V-Motion Face. The Halogen headlamps unit could be upgraded to LED headlamps, and the bumpers could be tweaked slightly for sportier look.

From the side, it could sport new alloy wheels design, and nothing else. At the rear, it could get connected LED taillights since many SUVs and Sedans are doing this at the rear. From the inside, it could get a bigger infotainment system, and new layout for the dashboard. Other than that, it could get features like ventilated Seats, single-pane sunroof, 10.25-inch infotainment system with Wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, and few more. It is expected for launch sometime in 2024.
