Bollywood actress Gayatri Joshi and her husband, Vikas Oberoi, were involved in a car accident while traveling in Italy. Fortunately, both of them sustained only minor injuries. The accident took place on a rural road in Sardinia and involved multiple supercars.
The Campervan Incident: What Happened?
In a video going viral online, a campervan was seen traveling slowly in the front, followed by several luxury sports cars and supercars. The cars were navigating a narrow road, and moments before the crash, a two-wheeler passed in the opposite direction. Gayatri and her husband were in a Lamborghini attempting to overtake the campervan. A Ferrari behind them also tried to overtake the campervan, resulting in a collision between the Ferrari and the Lamborghini. The impact caused the campervan to lose balance and flip over, while the Ferrari caught fire.

Unfortunately, the couple traveling in the Ferrari, Melissa Krautli and Markus Krautli from Switzerland, lost their lives in the crash. Gayatri and her husband, however, survived with minor injuries. Gayatri confirmed their well-being, stating that they were both fine. Additionally, a couple from Selva di Val Gardena, aged 61 and 62, who were in the campervan, were injured and hospitalized. After the collision, the Lamborghini Huracan also lost control and crashed by the side of the road. The entire incident was captured by a person traveling in a car behind the supercars.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the accident, and the remains of all three vehicles involved have been seized. It is evident from the video that the accident occurred due to the actions of the supercar drivers. The Ferrari driver attempted to overtake the campervan at the same time as the Lamborghini driver, leading to the collision. These cars were part of the Sardinia Supercar Tour, an event where luxury car owners parade their high-end vehicles from Teulada to Olbia. Vikas Oberoi, Gayatri’s husband, is the Managing Director of Oberoi Constructions, a prominent real estate firm in India.
