Honda Cars India [HCL] has launched the New 3rd Generation amaze for the Indian Market bringing a bolder, more premium appeal. With multiple updates over the years, this latest version introduces a fresh exterior and a host of interior refinements, making it a more stylish and feature-packed option in the subcompact sedan segment. Below is a detailed look at its key aspects.
The exterior of the new Honda Amaze has undergone a complete redesign, giving it a more muscular and premium look. The front fascia now features a larger, sharper hexagonal grille, which is more shallow compared to its predecessor. Above the grille, a sleek chrome strip extends over the newly designed LED headlights, which are housed in projector units and lend a more modern, classy appeal. Additionally, the LED daytime running lights have a brow-like shape, reminiscent of the Elevate SUV.
The side profile is sharper, with a prominent character line running across the sedan’s length. The wing mirrors are relocated from the pillar to the door, offering a cleaner look. The 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels add to the car’s stylish presence, while the increased ground clearance of 172 mm gives the Amaze better road presence. At the rear, the new tail-lights closely resemble those of the Honda City, and the rear bumper is clean and well-sculpted. Overall, the Amaze now has a more refined and sophisticated design compared to its predecessor.
Inside, the new Amaze shares a design inspired by the Elevate SUV, offering a modern and premium cabin experience. The dashboard features a two-tone black and beige theme, with silver highlights that add a touch of elegance. A new textured finish for the dashboard panel enhances the premium feel, while the layout is functional and user-friendly. A large 8-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system takes center stage, offering wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The semi-digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch MID, along with the multifunction steering wheel (borrowed from the Elevate), further elevates the interior appeal.
Other notable upgrades include a new climate control panel, paddle shifters, and a wireless charging pad. The rear seat experience is enhanced with the inclusion of rear AC vents with a PM 2.5 air filter, a much-needed feature for Indian conditions. Cabin space has been improved due to the increased width and height, providing a more comfortable experience for all occupants. The 416 Litre boot capacity has been reduced from 420 L while it still ensures ample luggage space for long trips.
