Citroen India finally launched the C3 Aircross in India and priced it aggressively making it very affordable than its rivals Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, etc. and it’ll be sold in three variants.
The mid-size SUV Citroen C3 Aircross has been finally launched and bookings are open from today at a token amount of Rs. 25,000 for the following three variants – You, Plus, and Max. The pricing for the You variant was revealed by Citroen, which is Rs. 9.99 L (ex-showroom) introductory price while the mid-variant ‘Plus’ and top variant ‘Max’ pricing will be announced at a later date.
However, the dealers have revealed or rather hinted at what the other two variants will be priced. The Plus variant is expected to be priced somewhere between Rs. 11 – 11.30 L, and the Max variant between Rs. 11.80 – Rs. 12 L. Additionally, Rs. 35,000 will be charged extra if you want the 7-Seater configuration that will be available for the Plus and Max variant with Dual-Tone and Vibe Pack that is exclusive for the Plus and Max variant at Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively.
The You variant comes in 5-Seater layout only and packs features like the two airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-hold assist, Tyre-Pressure Monitoring System, and rear parking sensors. However, it misses out on so many features like the roof-mounted rear AC vents, 10.25-inch infotainment system, speakers, reverse parking camera, rear wipers, rear defogger, and USB Charging Ports. The top variant will pack with features like the 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, 7-inch digital instrument cluster, reverse parking camera,
The SUV is priced aggressively and obvious reason for this is due to insane amount of features it misses out on compare to its rivals. The Hyundai Creta starts at Rs. 10.87 L, and Kia Seltos starts at Rs. 10.89 L for the base variant. The SUV will come with only one engine option and that is the 1.2 L 3 Cylinder Turbo Petrol engine producing 108.62 BHP and 190 NM of torque paired to 6 Speed Manual Gearbox only with Automatic Gearbox launching at a later date.
