Ahead of the launch of Citroen Basalt Coupe SUV, it was spotted parked on the side of the road completely undisguised revealing new details and let us take a peak at the interiors.
In the spyshots above, we can see the coupe roofline of the SUV, same front fascia as the C3 Aircross, and new wrap-around tail-lamps at the rear which isn’t connected by an light bar. Front and rear bumpers is finished in carbon black. Notably, we can see the SUV equipped with production-spec alloys with unique design that is either 16 or 17-inch Alloy Wheels.

Now jumping to the main reason of this article, the interiors. The dashboard looks the same as the C3 Aircross like the free-standing 10.25-inch Infotainment system, round dials below for the HVAC Controls, dual-tone white and grey theme upholstery for the seats, same digital cluster as C3 Aircross, centre armrest, rear seats with no center passenger headrest, etc. Moreover, the dashboard has an all-black theme; and likely no leather-wrap for the steering wheel.The Basalt SUV will be equipped with the same 1.2-Litre Turbo Petrol engine found in the C3 Aircross. This engine, capable of producing 109 BHP and 190 NM of torque with the 6 Speed Manual and 205 NM with the Automatic Gearbox Choices.Features-wise, the Basalt SUV will have 10.25-inch infotainment system with Wireless Apple Carplay & Android Auto, wireless Charging Pad, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, an auto-dimming IRVM, rain-sensing wipers, keyless entry, push-button start, and could possibly add ventilated seats which may make the SUV a little appealing to buy.Citroen is expected to launch the Basalt Coupe SUV by the festive season, i.e. September 2024, and upon launch it’s main rival will be the Tata Curvv.
