Citroen India has unveiled the C3 Aircross for the Indian Market and this will be their third model after the C3 hatchback in India and will be launching in late 2023.
Citroen has revealed the C3 Aircross globally and has shared very limited information on the Creta-rival. The C3 Aircross will be 4.3 meters long which matches the length of the Hyundai Creta. When it comes to design and styling, the C3 Aircross looks very similar to the C3 hatchback but when you look at it from close, you’ll notice the difference. It features split LED headlamps with their Y-shaped LED DRLs and the logo integrated into the grille finished in chrome.
The front bumper has its own air intake vent with fog lamps enclosures. Moving to the side, it has round wheel arches and has claimed longest wheelbase in the segment, 2671mm, which is 61mm more than the Creta’s 2610mm wheelbase. It also has 200mm ground clearance which is 10mm more than the Creta’s 190mm ground clearance. The doors of the C3 Aircross looks big and has the lift-type door handles which is very-old or basically a traditional lift door handles.
Moving to the rear, the tailgate of the C3 Aircross looks quite big compared to its rivals. The C3 Aircross will have the dual-tone color option with X-shaped Alloy wheels and LED taillamps connected via a LED light bar.
Moving to the inside, it will be equipped with two-seating options, the standard five-seater layout with a boot space of 444 litres on offer which is 11 litres more on offer than the Creta. There there is the 7-seater layout with the last row completely removable and after removal, it will offer 511 litres of boot space. The second-row and third-row passengers get AC vents but the SUV does not seem to get automatic climate control. The C3 Aircross has a 10.2-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android auto, same as the one offered with the C3 hatchback. The SUV also has full-digital instrument cluster with multiple drive modes on offer.

Citroen announced that the C3 Aircross will be getting a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine similar to the one in C3 hatchback. the 1.2-litre Puretech turbo petrol engine produces 108.62 bhp and 190 Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed Manual Transmission. There will also be an Automatic Transmission variant but they might announce or launch it later as the rumor says Citroen is struggling to get the automatic transmission.
Citroen will be launching the C3 Aircross in the late 2023 with price announcement around the same time as well. Upon it’s launch, it’ll rival the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.
