Citroen has been spied a gazillion times testing the C3X Sedan on the roads with the launch expected place sometime later this year 2024 making it the 4th model in their line-up. Here’s everything you need to know!
Citroen has been testing the C3X for months now, and what we know is that the C3X will be based on the CMP Modular Platform which underpins other Citroen SUVs – C3 and C3 Aircross. The C3X will compete against the Tata Curvv SUV, and Sedans like Hyundai Verna, VW Virtus, Skoda Slavia, Honda City, and Maruti Ciaz. The C3X will have many features borrow from its existing models like the front fascia, and features will be taken from the C3 Aircross.

But changes will be observed from the side where the sloping roofline will be major attraction for the customers. The test mules seen so far had heavily covered the rear section and so its to hard to tell, but it’s possible the LED tail lamps will be the same as C3 Aircross and may be tweaked a little to differentiate between the two. However, the possibility of an connected tail lamps is pretty much zero given they might willing to price this model towards the affordable side. The C3X will borrow equipments from C3 Aircross like the 10.25-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, 7-inch Digital Colour TFT Instrument Cluster, electrically adjustable ORVMs, 4-spoke steering wheel which is leather-wrapped, and that’s about it. However, the C3X will be using the same powertrain which powers the C3 and C3 Aircross, the 1.2 L 3 Cylinder Turbo Petrol engine producing 108.62 BHP and 190 NM of torque paired to 6 Speed Manual and Automatic Gearbox.Additionally, it’ll have safety features like 6 Airbags, ABS with EBD, Hill-Hold assist, TPMS, ESC, Rear Parking Camera, ISOFIX anchorages, and few more. Since an aggressive pricing is expected, the C3X will likely miss out on ventilated seats, powered driver seats, ADAS, sunroof, just to list a few. We should be hearing more about the C3X in the coming weeks.
