Maruti will launch its fourth-generation Swift in the Indian market in the coming months with a significant designer update, which is expected to be a game-changer for the automaker.
With a significant redesign, the new generation Swift will have a sportier, more dynamic appearance. Although the dimensions will change somewhat, it will keep a similar silhouette as the currently available model. The car will have a sportier road presence owing to its freshly designed front and rear ends, new projector arrangement, and new bumper design. In contrast to the existing model, it will have a new alloy design and conventional door handles on the back. There will likely be updated bumpers and a new taillamp design on the back. A new floating touchscreen entertainment system and elegant leatherette upholstery are among the interior changes to be anticipated. For enhanced safety, the next generation Swift will also come equipped with an Advance driver assist system and an array of connected car technologies.
For the next Swift, Maruti will introduce a new 1.2-liter Z series petrol engine that produces 88.5 horsepower, providing excellent power and efficiency. It will be available with both an automatic and a 5-speed manual gearbox. For increased performance and fuel efficiency, Maruti may possibly launch a new hybrid powertrain in its forthcoming Swift.

Although the new generation Swift’s variants have not yet been revealed, it is anticipated to cost between 6.5 and 10 lakhs (ex-showroom) and compete with the Tata Tiago, Maruti Baleno, Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20, and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
