Maruti Suzuki Brezza defeats the Tata Nexon and Hyundai’s Venue to finish top of the SUV Sales Charts in March 2023.

Maruti Suzuki regained the No.1 spot as the most-selling SUV in March 2023 as it sold 16,227 units which is 30.45% year-on-year growth against the 12,439 units sales in March 2022 with 3,788 units increased growth. Tata Nexon ranks 2nd in Top 10 SUV Sales as it sold 14,769 units in March 2023 which is 3.17% year-on-year growth against the 14,315 units in March 2022 with 454 units increased growth.

Next is another Tata SUV, Tata Punch that ranked 3rd position in the table sold 10,894 units which is 3.49% year-on-year growth against the 10,526 units in March 2022 with 368 units increased volume. Hyundai Venue ranks 4th position as it sold 10,024 units in March 2023 which is 8.72% year-on-year growth against the 9,220 units sales in March 2022 with 804 units increased volume growth. On the 5th position is the Kia Sonet as it sold 8,677 units in March 2023 which is 26.28% year-on-year growth against the 6,871 units in March 2022 with 6,871 units with 1,806 units increased volume growth.

Mahindra XUV300 is at the 6th position as it sold 5,128 units in March 2023 which is 23.86% year-on-year growth against the 4,140 units in March 2022 with 988 units increased volume growth. Nissan Magnite at 7th position sold 3,260 units in March 2023 which is 10.8% year-on-year growth against the 2,942 units with 318 units increased growth in volume. The Renault Kiger ranks at 8th position as it sold 1,568 units which is 37.17% year-on-year decline against the 2,496 units it sold in March 2022 with 928 units decreased growth in volume.

At 9th position is the Honda WR-V as it sold only 3 units before getting discontinued earlier this year and thus has 98.8% year-on-year decline against the 251 units it sold in March 2022 with 248 units decreased growth in sales. Lastly, is the Urban Cruiser as it not on sale for several months now.

However, Hyundai will be launching an all-new SUV codenamed Ai3 later this year to rival the Tata Punch and the upcoming Sonet facelift in 2024.
