Hyundai will be launching the Creta facelift in India by the end of this year and is expected to come with few updated and additions that could change the Mid-Size segment forever, and therefore here are the 5 things about the Creta facelift that you should probably know!
New Design
The Upcoming Creta facelift will have lot of cosmetic changes such as a larger grille that appears the same as the Hyundai Tucson. The LED headlamps will continue to be positioned on the newly designed bumpers. The grille has satin silver inserts to enhance the front design of the Creta facelift and increase road presence. The side profile styling remains the same, and moving to the rear, Hyundai tweaked the rear design for an updated fresh look.
Cabin updated!
No major changes or change in dashboard layout is expected, however, Hyundai could add new features and make few improvements such as the refreshed 10.25-inch infotainment system which will be more responsive than the current gen, BlueLink update, better air purifier, and ambient lighting. Other than that, it’ll continue to have features such as the ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, powered driver seat, etc.
ADAS and 360-Degree Camera
The Creta facelift is expected to have Level 2 ADAS (Autonomous Driver Assistance system) in India that will make it the third SUV to have ADAS in India. It’ll have features such as Lane Keep Assist, Lane Departure Warning and Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Auto High Beam, Autonomous Braking Emergency, Forward Collision Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Assist, and many more. Other than this, it could have the 360-degree camera for India given the Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder has it, and soon the upcoming Kia Seltos facelift will have it as well, so Hyundai might add it in the Indian-spec Creta facelift.
Same Powertrain Options!
Just like the current Creta in India, it’ll continue to have the same powertrain options as well. It’ll the 1.5-litre petrol and the 1.5-litre diesel engine on offer. Hyundai will update these engines with the RDE and E20 Norms to comply with the regulations. Moreover, Hyundai could possibly introduce a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that is available in the Hyundai Alcazar.
Price and Launch
While there is no official word on when Hyundai will launch the Creta facelift in India, it is expected to be launched by the end of 2023 or in early 2024 with the updated pricing could be Rs. 11 lakh or maybe more. The Hyundai Creta in India rivals the Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder.
