When it comes to sedans, total sales of sedans alone was 31,222 units in September 2023 with Dzire being the best-selling followed by the Hyundai’s two sedans – Aura, and Verna.

In the month of September 2023, the cumulative sales of sedans were 31,222 units which is a month-on-month decline by 7.06% compared to August’s sales of 33,593 units. The best-selling sedan was the Maruti Suzuki’s Dzire with 13,880 units with 4.42% growth over the 13,293 units in August. The 2nd best-selling sedan was the Hyundai Aura with 3,900 units which is a big decline by 20.28% compared to 4,892 units in August.
What’s worth noting here is that the volume difference between the Dzire and the Aura is almost 10,000 units which is impressive. Moving on, the Hyundai Verna at 3rd position performed decently with 2,610 units against the 2,576 units in August 2023. Hyundai Verna is the best-selling sedan in its segment. The Honda Amaze is at 4th position with 2,577 units which is down by 27.69% over the 3,564 units in August.
Then there is the Volkswagen Virtus at 5th position with 1,791 units reporting decline by 16.31%, and Honda City with 1,599 unit sales with improved sales by 7.03%. The Skoda Slavia reports month-on-month decline by 4.59% which is 1,581 units over the 1,657 units in August. The Tata Tigor performed poorly in sales with 1,534 units reporting 47.95% de-growth, the Ciaz at 9th position reports huge growth with 1,491 units which is 75.62% improved sales, and at last is the luxury sedan by Toyota, the Camry with 43.09% growth over August with 259 unit sales.
