Mahindra is set to launch five new SUVs based on the INGLO platform in India between 2024 – 2025. Among these, the BE.05 EV has been spotted during testing, providing us with a crystal clear glimpse of the interior of this upcoming electric SUV.
While there have been numerous sightings of the BE.05 EV in India, this is the first time we’ve gotten a clear view of its production-spec interiors. At first glance, you’ll notice a strong resemblance to the concept version showcased at the M.A.D.E Headquarters in the UK. Mahindra had promised that the concept design would be reflected in the production model, and they’ve kept their word.

The interior features a split with a grey finish between the passenger and driver for a cockpit-like feel. Other notable design elements include a 2-spoke hexagon-shaped steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls, three digital sliders that are likely for volume and climate control, and interior brightness; and a rotary dial on the center console that likely controls the infotainment system along with drive and terrain modes. Surrounding the dial are buttons labeled Home, HVAC, and two others that are not clearly visible. There’s a push start/stop button on the left side of the gear lever, cupholders in front, and storage space underneath the console. Additionally, we can see a frameless IRVM, similar to the one in the recently launched XUV3OO. The doors feature pull straps for closing instead of conventional handles, and the upholstery appears to be fabric and grey in colour. The main subject of these interiors is the seamless integrated curved dual displays of 12.3-inch – one for infotainment and the other for Driver’s Display. Other than that, the EV will come with features such as ventilated front seats, powered front seats, Wireless Charging Pad, Panoramic Sunroof on top, 360 Surround View Camera, Level 2 ADAS, and so much more. The BE.05 is expected to be fitted with 79 kWh LFP battery pack with 450 – 500 KM Range. It’s dimensions were revealed to be 4370 MM Length, 1900 MM Width, and 1653 MM Height with 2775 MM Wheelbase. So, expect a 205 MM Ground Clearance for the EV. Moreover, BE.05 will be offered with 2WD and 4WD Options with the 2WD sporting a rear-mounted motor producing 284 BHP and 535 NM Torque; while the 4WD will get a dual motors with the front mounted motor producing 108 BHP and 135 NM Torque. There’s a good chance that when it launches, it’ll compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki eVX, Hyundai Creta EV, and its arch-nemesis, Tata Curvv EV. The BE.05 is expected to launch in October 2025.
