Renault India has strengthened its ties with the Indian Army by delivering two of its popular models, the Renault Kiger and Renault Triber, to support the transportation and mobility needs of the Eastern Command. This initiative is part of Renault’s ongoing commitment to India’s defense forces, following a previous contribution where Renault handed over all three of its vehicles, including the Renault Kwid, to the 14 Corps of the Northern Command.
Renault’s decision to provide vehicles reflects the brand’s dedication to supporting the military’s logistical capabilities. Sudhir Malhotra, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Renault India, stated, “We are truly honoured to support the Eastern Command of the Indian Army. The Triber and Kiger reflect Renault’s commitment to quality, safety, and the Make in India initiative. We are confident that these vehicles will enhance the operational mobility of the Eastern Command.”
Renault India continues to cater to the Indian market with three models—Kiger, Triber, and Kwid. The Kiger stands as an affordable sub-compact SUV, while the Triber serves as an entry-level MPV with three rows of seating. Meanwhile, the Kwid, launched in September 2015, remains a popular choice among first-time car buyers, though it consistently trails behind the top-selling Maruti Suzuki Alto and Alto K10.
