The Upcoming Honda Elevate will have the same engine options as the Honda City as it’s based on the City. The Honda Elevate is powered by 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which produces 119.35 bhp and 145 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed Manual Transmission and CVT Transmission. The petrol-hybrid is powered by 1.5-litre Atkinson Cycle petrol-hybrid which produces 122.57 bhp and 253 Nm of torque paired to eCVT Transmission.

The Verna on the other hand doesn’t have any petrol-hybrid engine on offer, but it has a non-turbo and turbo engine on offer. It has the 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine that produces 113 bhp and 143.8 Nm of torque. It drives the front wheels via a 6-speed Manual and IVT Gearbox. This engine gives a fuel efficiency of 19.60 km/l for the IVT variants and 18.60 km/l for the Manual variants. The other is the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that pumps out 157 bhp and 253 Nm of torque mated a 6-speed Manual and 7-speed DCT Gearbox. It has a fuel efficiency of 20.60 km/l for the DCT Gearbox and 20 km/l for the Manual Gearbox and has a top speed of 210 kmph.

When it comes to features, we’ve no confirmation on what features will be available in Honda Elevate, but we know that majority of these features will be there in the Elevate as it’s based on the City. However, we expect the Elevate to have 8-speaker premium surround sound system instead of the 8-speaker Bose sound system. But we don’t think it’ll have the heated seats for driver and front passenger as if it does offer, it’ll be first-in segment feature then which could more customers for them.

Even when it comes to safety features, we expect the Honda Elevate safety features to be the same as the Verna, except the Elevate could have the 360-degree camera instead of reverse parking camera in Verna.

The Hyundai Verna is priced at Rs. 10.89 lakh for the base ‘EX’ variant and the top variant ‘SX (O) Turbo is priced at Rs. 17.37 lakh and as for the Honda Elevate it is expected to be priced at Rs. 12 lakh to Rs. 19 lakh.

Honda will be launching the Elevate SUV on June 6th that will rival the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. Since only a month is left for the Elevate to be revealed, it is better to wait than making a rushed decision otherwise you can buy the Verna which is a good feature-loaded with great comfort on offer.
