So, MG Motors from outta nowhere slashed the price of the ZS EV making it the third model after the Hector, and Hector Plus to have the price reduced due to reduction in input costs.

Following the price cut, the base variant ‘Excite’ starts at Rs. 22.88 Lakh from Rs. 23.38 Lakh with a price difference of Rs. 50,000. The mid-spec ‘Exclusive’ variant sees a huge price cut of Rs. 2.30 Lakh bringing the price down to Rs. 25 Lakh from Rs. 27.30 Lakh. The newly introduced top variant, ‘Exclusive Pro’ which comes with Level 2 ADAS saw Rs. 2 Lakh price cut bringing it’s price from Rs. 27.90 Lakh to Rs. 25.90 Lakh. MG says the price of the ZS EV was reduced because of the reduction in input costs.

The ZS EV is powered by front-axle mounted single motor generating 174.33 BHP and 280 NM of torque. It’s equipped with a 50.3 kWh battery pack providing a claimed range of 461 KM, and it can charge the EV from 0 – 100% in 8.5 to 9 Hours using a 7 kW AC Charger, and on a 50 kW DC Charger, it can charge 0 – 80% in just an hour.

Coming to features, MG offers 360 Surround View Camera, ventilated seats, 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, electric adjustable front seats, 3 Drive Modes, automatic climate control, heated ORVMs, panoramic sunroof, 4 Speakers, and so on. Safety features includes 6 Airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, TPMS, Hill Assist, Hill Descent Control, Rear Parking Sensors, and ADAS.

The MG ZS EV competes with the likes of Tata Nexon.ev, Mahindra XUV400 EV, and Hyundai Kona EV.
