The Hyundai Alcazar and MG Hector Plus, the two SUV MPV build on their own SUV Platform and then competes against each other to see which one is better than the other.
The front of the Alcazar will first make think of Creta because of the resemblance between the two. There is a chrome line that joins the three-pot LED headlamps with split LED DRLs. The grille of the Alcazar has rectangular chrome elements and the bumper front and rear finished in faux silver skid plate with fog lamps and indicators at the sides. From the side, the Alcazar has side step which is first-in segment, rides on alloy wheels which are standard, and roof rails are just for show, they’re non-functional.
The rear will remind people of the Ford Endeavour because of the taillights joining the chrome bar. It has no powered tail gate and has mini-LEDs inside the taillights and dual exhausts at the right bottom side.
MG seems to take lessons from the BMW in design as the front of the Hector Plus as now even bigger grille with chrome diamond-shape inserts in them with LED DRLs joining with the grille. It retains the split headlight setup from the pre-facelift of the Hector, and as you can see at the bottom of the grille, there is the radar for the ADAS. The side has no change in look as it gets the same 18-inch alloy wheels. Moving to the rear side, MG has added a light bar that connects the taillamps with ADAS badging below the tailgate.
If you compare the interior of both the cars, the Hector Plus has a very clean look has it has eliminated buttons from the dashboard and now has even bigger infotainment system that measures 14-inch and chrome inserts on the AC vents which appears to be a little bigger, dual-tone theme for the interiors, and an AI from the Astor, which you can ask to open/close sunroof, set temperature, and other stuff. The Al is available as an voice assistant and not as a bot and also has a big panoramic sunroof as well.
The Alcazar’s resemblance to the Creta can be seen with 10.25-inch infotainment system at the center, AC vents positioned vertically, controls for the climate control below the infotainment system, and other functions are located around the gear level like ventilated seats, electric hold function, and other thing as well.
