Here we will do a direct comparison of the Current Hyundai Creta against the upcoming new Creta Facelift. The Current Creta is selling like crazily even when it has slightly less features than its rivals.
Hyundai Creta Current vs Facelift: Design
As you can see at the front of the Creta, it has square-shaped grille with top edges curved and is finished in chrome with four horizontal line across the grille. Split LED DRLS with tri-square shaped LED lights with fog lamps and indicators below them and the bumpers are finished in faux silver skid plate. Moving to the side, it’s simple looking with few cuts on body, roof rails on top and 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. At the rear, the LED taillamps looks similar to the split headlamps at the front, and roof spoiler with shark fin antenna on top.
As for the Hyundai Creta, it has a 10.25-inch infotainment system placed below the AC vent and at the sides it has vertically positioned AC vents. The Creta does not have the dual-tone theme dashboard option unfortunately. It has multi-function four-spoke steering wheel with digital instrument cluster, the pedals finished in silver color, and a huge panoramic sunroof. Around the gear lever which is designed like the one in Planes or similar to the one’s in Audi, it has rotary dials for drive modes, button for electric parking brake with auto hold function, and for the ventilated seat . It has two USB-A ports at the front, and two at the rear. The rear seats has 60:40 split which can be reclined as well, and comes equipped with 8-speaker Bose Premium Sound System.
The upcoming Hyundai Creta Facelift will feature a large front grille with 3 vertical and horizontal slats. It has a connected LED DRLs at the front whose width spans across the full front body. Then there is the square-shape LED headlamp units with dual-cube shape inside them for low and high-beam light projection. Below the grille is the rectangle unit which is radar for the ADAS, and bumpers are made of skid plates. The side profile remains simple with creases on the body, black-colored roof rails, and new 18-inch alloy wheel. The rear features new connected LED taillamps in L-shape, and shark fin antenna on top, and single-tip exhaust on non-turbo trims, and dual-tip exhaust for turbo trims.
The new Creta Facelift features dual 10.25-inch screens – one for infotainment system, and one for digital instrument cluster. The dashboard layout will change because the dual-screen will be free-standing which would move the rectangular AC vents below them while in the outgoing version, they were positioned above the infotainment system. The vertical positional at the sides of the AC vents will continue to remain the same, and it’s likely it’ll feature the 4-spoke steering wheel similar to the Tucson. The center console will have buttons for ventilated and heated seat, audi-like gear shift lever, rotary dial for drive modes, two cupholders, and manual handbrake for lower trims, and electric parking brake for top trims.

Hyundai Creta (Current) | Rs. 10.87 – Rs. 19.20 L |
Hyundai Creta (Facelift) | Expected Rs. 11 L |
The Current Creta is priced from Rs. 10.87 Lakh for the base ‘ E Petrol MT’ trim and Rs. 19.20 Lakh for the top trim, ‘SX (O) Knight Diesel AT.’ The Facelift Creta is expected to start from Rs. 11 Lakh as Hyundai earlier this month made it clear that in January a price hike is coming, so we expect the Creta pricing to be there.
In the end, the decision to buy which version depends totally on you, however, if you can’t wait for the facelift launch in 2024, you can go ahead and buy the current Creta as it’s still a good SUV with tons of features and space which even today is doing brilliantly in sales. Where as if you can wait for the Facelift launch, it would be a good decision as you’ll get to experience new features. So, what are you going to do?
