With Hyundai sending Block Your Date notification for 16th January, 2024, which is likely for the Hyundai Creta Facelift Launch, we thought of comparing the Creta Facelift against the Kia Seltos that received the facelift update earlier this year to see how Hyundai plans to compete against its rival.
Hyundai Creta Facelift vs Kia Seltos: Design
The upcoming Hyundai Creta Facelift will feature a large front grille with 3 vertical and horizontal slats. It has a connected LED DRLs at the front whose width spans across the full front body. Then there is the square-shape LED headlamp units with dual-cube shape inside them for low and high-beam light projection. Below the grille is the rectangle unit which is radar for the ADAS, and bumpers are made of skid plates. The side profile remains simple with creases on the body, black-colored roof rails, and new 18-inch alloy wheel. The rear features new connected LED taillamps in L-shape, and shark fin antenna on top, and single-tip exhaust on non-turbo trims, and dual-tip exhaust for turbo trims.
Kia Seltos from the outside has a big grille with extended LED DRLs on it, cuts and creases on the bonnet for a sporty and aggressive look, four LED cubes positioned vertically acting as Fog lamps, the bumpers are faux silver skid plate, and just above the bumpers it has radar panel for ADAS. Moving to the side, the body has few cuts, thin wheel cladding for the 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails on the top, chrome line on the bottom of the window lamp that extends till the D-pillar, and chrome door handles. At the rear, it has L-shaped Caren inspired LED taillamps connected by LED light bar with KIA logo at the center, small spoiler on the roof with shark fin antenna on top, and dual exhaust for turbo variants.
The new Creta Facelift features dual 10.25-inch screens – one for infotainment system, and one for digital instrument cluster. The dashboard layout will change because the dual-screen will be free-standing which would move the rectangular AC vents below them while in the outgoing version, they were positioned above the infotainment system. The vertical positional at the sides of the AC vents will continue to remain the same, and it’s likely it’ll feature the 4-spoke steering wheel similar to the Tucson. The center console will have buttons for ventilated and heated seat, audi-like gear shift lever, rotary dial for drive modes, two cupholders, and manual handbrake for lower trims, and electric parking brake for top trims.
Moreover, it’ll get two USB-C ports both at the front and the rear for fast-charging your phone. The seats at the front are electrically adjustable while the rear seats can be reclined as per your comfort. The rear seats are split in 60:40 ratio, multiple color options for ambient lighting, a huge panoramic sunroof on top, and it continues to have the 8 Speaker Bose Premium Sound System.
From the inside, the Seltos Facelift has one big display unit with two 10.25-inch displays – one for digital instrument cluster, and for infotainment system, and has new layout for the automatic climate control. Around the gear lever, it has buttons for ventilated seats, wireless charging pad, rotary dial for driving modes, two USB Charging ports at front and rear, electric parking brake with auto hold function, and sun-blinds for all the windows.
