Hyundai Motors has finally launched the Creta Facelift for the Indian Market with the SUV getting numerous changes from the inside and outside, and some new features as well. So, we thought of comparing the facelift against the SUV that got facelift update in July 2023 to see how much better its over the Seltos.
The new Creta Facelift comes with new robust. exterior design like the new radiator grille, upright hood contributing towards the strong, assertive and distinct road presence, connected Sequential LED DRLs, below that is the split unit vertical Quad-Beam LED headlamp with cube-like detailing, and skid plates as bumpers. The side profile features 17-inch alloy wheel with 5-spoke curvy design, integrated roof rails, and chrome door handles. The rear section now gets new dual L-shape connected taillamps, rear spoiler, shark fin antenna, and hidden wiper with washer.
Jumping to the inside, the Facelift comes with seamlessly integrated 10.25-inch dual displays – one for infotainment system, and one for fully digital instrument cluster. Below the dual displays is the panel to control infotainment system, and dual-zone climate control. The centre console has been tweaked to make it look a little luxurious, then there is illuminated buttons around gear lever for ventilated seats, rotary dial for drives and traction modes; parking camera, two cupholders behind lever, and fixed armrest.
The dashboard has been redesigned with thin AC vents, and dual-tone theme. The rear section is split in 60:40 ratio with center armrest, and 2-step reclining option, ambient lights around the cabin, panoramic sunroof on top, and the SUV gets 8 Speaker Bose Premium Sound System. Moreover, the boot space of 433 L is the same as before, and other changes inside the cabin include lighter colours and copper details.

Kia Seltos from the outside has a big grille with extended LED DRLs on it, cuts and creases on the bonnet for a sporty and aggressive look, four LED cubes positioned vertically acting as Fog lamps, the bumpers are faux silver skid plate, and just above the bumpers it has radar panel for ADAS. Moving to the side, the body has few cuts, thin wheel cladding for the 18-inch alloy wheels, roof rails on the top, chrome line on the bottom of the window lamp that extends till the D-pillar, and chrome door handles. At the rear, it has L-shaped Caren inspired LED taillamps connected by LED light bar with KIA logo at the center, small spoiler on the roof with shark fin antenna on top, and dual exhaust for turbo variants.
From the inside, the Seltos Facelift has one big display unit with two 10.25-inch displays – one for digital instrument cluster, and for infotainment system, and has new layout for the automatic climate control. It has a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, the pedals is finished in black, and now it has panoramic sunroof. Around the gear lever, it has buttons for ventilated seats, wireless charging pad, rotary dial for driving modes, two USB Charging ports at front and rear, electric parking brake with auto hold function, and sun-blinds for all the windows. Moving to the rear, the seats are split in 60:40 ratio that can be reclined as well, multiple colors for ambient lighting and it has 8 Speaker Bose Premium sound system.

The Hyundai Creta Facelift has a dimensions of 4330 MM in length, 1790 MM in width, and 1635 MM in height. On comparison with the Kia Seltos, the Creta falls short of length by 35 MM, narrower by 10 MM, and shorter in height by 10 MM. Both the SUVs wheelbase is the same, which is 2610 MM, ground clearance is 190 MM, fuel tank is 50 Litres, and Boot Space is 433 L.

The Hyundai Creta Facelift is priced from Rs. 11 Lakh for the base “E” variant while the top variant “SX (O) Diesel AT” for Rs. 20 Lakh Kia Seltos is available from Rs. 10.90 Lakh for the entry-level HTE variant, and Rs. 20.30 L for the top variant, X-Line Edition.
As for the warranty, the Hyundai Creta facelift comes with 3 years / Unlimited KMs standard warranty which is extendable up to 7 years. Kia however offers 3 years/1,00,000 KM for the Seltos that can be extended up to 5 years/1,00,000 KM.
In the end, the decision to buy which SUV depends totally on you, however, if you ask us, both the SUVs comes with identical features, engine options, and much more. However, the Seltos in dimensions is bigger than the Creta giving you extra space and comfort over Creta. So, the performance between the two SUVs is similar and so is the fuel efficiency. Although, the cabin of the Creta facelift looks very luxurious over the Seltos and so, if you’re looking for an SUV that looks good in design, and luxurious cabin, the Creta is the right choice, or the Seltos is another great choice you won’t regret.
