With Hyundai sending Block Your Date notification for 16th January, 2024 for the Hyundai Creta Facelift Launch, we thought of comparing the Creta Facelift against one of its rival, Maruti Grand Vitara to see how both perform against each other!
The Hyundai Creta Facelift features large front grille with 3 vertical and horizontal slats. It has a connected LED DRLs at the front whose width spans across the full front body. Then there is the square-shape LED headlamp units with dual-cube shape inside them for low and high-beam light projection. Below the grille is the rectangle unit which is radar for the ADAS, and bumpers are made of skid plates. The side profile remains simple with creases on the body, black-colored roof rails, and new 18-inch alloy wheel. The rear features connected LED taillamps in L-shape, shark fin antenna on top, and single-tip exhaust on non-turbo trims, and dual-tip exhaust for turbo trims.
The new Creta Facelift features dual 10.25-inch screens – one for infotainment system, and one for digital instrument cluster. The dashboard layout will change because the dual-screen will be free-standing which would move the rectangular AC vents below them while in the outgoing version, they were positioned above the infotainment system. The vertical positional at the sides of the AC vents will continue to remain the same, and it’s likely it’ll feature the 4-spoke steering wheel similar to the Tucson. The center console will have buttons for ventilated and heated seat, audi-like gear shift lever, rotary dial for drive modes, two cupholders, and manual handbrake for lower trims, and electric parking brake for top trims.
Moreover, it’ll get two USB-C ports both at the front and the rear for fast-charging your phone. The seats at the front are electrically adjustable while the rear seats can be reclined as per your comfort. The rear seats are split in 60:40 ratio, multiple color options for ambient lighting, a huge panoramic sunroof on top, and it continues to have the 8 Speaker Bose Premium Sound System.
The Grand Vitara from the outside has a bold look. At the front, it has tri-cube signature NEXA LED DRLs, and below that is square-shaped LED headlamps. The front grille is huge with curvy ‘n’ pattern and chrome around the grille. The bumpers are made of faux skid plate, and bonnet features cuts and creases enhancing its bold appeal. The side profile has creases, thin wheel arches, 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome on window beltline, and non-functional grey-coloured roof rails. Moving to the rear, the LED taillamps looks similar to the Jeep Meridian, yet they aren’t connected taillamps and its because of the Suzuki logo between them. There is C-shape protrusion with reverse and indicator lamp, and straight line creases.
The Grand Vitara on the inside, features a 9-inch infotainment system placed above the AC vents and the AC vents at the sides are positioned horizontally. It has the dual-tone dashboard theme option as well as leather seat upholstery. The Grand Vitara has a 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a digital instrument cluster although the image you’re seeing has Analog instrument cluster which is available in all the variants except the top variant. The Grand Vitara has two USB ports at the front and rear, buttons for ventilated seats, driver mode, and EV mode. The Grand Vitara also has a Heads-up Display top of the instrument cluster. At the rear, the seats are split in 60:40 ratio and it has a 6-speaker Arkamy’s sound system.
