Hyundai Exter First Accident – Everything you need to know!

Hyundai Motors India just recently launched the affordable SUV, Hyundai Exter that rivals the Tata Punch, Citroen C3, Maruti Ignis, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite. But a recent accident was reported that involved Hyundai Exter. The Hyundai Exter faced it’s first accident since launch and this accident happened due to vehicle driven at high speed that led to loosing control on road that is rain-soaked. The SUV hit the divider before the bus made contact with the SUV, and even after all that, the Exter kept the passengers safe and all of them sustained minimal damage.

This accident took place in Ankleshwar, Gujarat outside the Tata dealership. After the accident, one thing about the Exter seen was how the SUV was intact even after the crash. The damage was noticed in soft parts like the headlights and bumper, but the structural integrity of the SUV was intact. There wasn’t major damage inside the cabin and the pillars of the SUV indicating the rigid construction. Though the collision didn’t trigger the safety airbags suggesting the impact wasn’t that high to trigger the airbags, and thus, all passengers were safe, none were hurt.

The Hyundai Exter comes with safety features like six airbags, three-point seatbelts, ABS with EBD, seatbelt reminder, ISOFIX anchorage, and emergency stop signal as standard. Other safety features include Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), Dual Camera Dashcam, hill start assist, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tyre-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Traction Control, Front Disc Brakes, and Reverse-parking camera with rear parking sensors.
