From the front, it has flat bonnet with a big Hyundai logo on it and the three-tier design nose. It has H-shaped LED DRLs that are connected via a black strip that could possibly be a connected LED light bar for the top variant. The headlamps are square shape that are projector headlamps and could be an LED for top variants. Then there is the body cladding finished in matte black all over the car to contribute towards the Exter’s looks. Moving to the side, you’ll realize the SUV has boxy shape. The doors seems to be big to accommodate easy in’s and out’s of the SUV. The alloy wheels, roof rails, and A and B-pillars has the dual-tone treatment. It has an upright tailgate with the rear windshield slightly tilted, shark fin antenna at the top, small roof-spoiler, flat and tall rear bumper with dual-tone finished. The taillamps has an H-shaped in them with a big black panel with big Hyundai logo at the center, it could feature connected LED light bar for the taillamps in top variants.

As for the Grand i10 Nios, the grille is placed a lower for the front design to look a bit meaner as the grille as big hexagonal design. It has projector headlamps that are not LEDs, and tri-arrow LED DRLs at the bottom edges of the body. The bonnet has cuts extended just before the grille to contribute towards the mean look. From the side, it has few cuts and creases on the body, non-functionable roof rails, chrome door handles, and 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, it has LED taillamps with connected LED light bar, small spoiler, and shark fin antenna on top.

So, when it comes to exteriors looks and styling, we would say, the i10 Nios looks better than Exter as the design of the Exter is a bit polarizing.

As for the Exter, it’ll have the 8-inch infotainment system that’ll be free-standing stand out on the dashboard with two-spoke multi-function steering wheel with digital instrument cluster. The gear selector will not be placed between the two front seats but instead it will be integrated with the console which will be positioned slightly vertically for each reach. The door handles are finished in chrome and ambient lighting.

From the inside, the i10 Nios has 8-inch infotainment sysem that is integrated with the analog instrument cluster with TFT display; to give it one seamless look as the infotainment system is placed above the round rectangular shaped AC vents. The i10 Nios has a dual-tone dashboard theme option, USB Type-C Charging port, and the push start/stop button on the behind the steering wheel. At the rear, the rear seats are split in 60:40 ratio, it’s got rear AC vents, and the door handles are finished in silver color.

So, from the inside, the Exter looks a bit spacious than the i10 Nios because of how modern the interiors look while the i10 Nios looks good with the integrated display and instrument cluster however, the layout or the styling of the i10 Nios from the inside could have been more better.

As for the dimensions of the Exter, expect the Exter length to be around 3800mm, width of 1595mm, and height of 1575mm with a 2400mm wheelbase. It’ll have fuel tank of 35 litres and ground clearance of 170mm. The Grand i10 Nios has a length of 3815mm, width of 1680mm, and height of 1520mm with a wheelbase of 2450mm. It has a fuel tank of 37 litres Petrol and 60 litres of CNG tank with 165mm ground clearance.

So, when it comes to Dimensions, the i10 Nios is bigger than the Exter therefore will be more comfortable than the Exter.

In the end, the decision to which Hyundai model depends on you, however, both the models in features and safety are very much the same. However, if you’re not looking for an SUV, you can buy the Grand i10 Nios as practically they’re almost the same except the comfort on the i10 Nios will be better than the Exter, the engine options and power are the same, and the mileage on the i10 Nios is also good as well. The Exter pricing is not out yet, but it’ll be slightly higher than the i10 Nios. So, if you can wait for some more time for a complete reveal of the Exter, it’s best option, otherwise you could just go ahead and buy the i10 Nios.
