Hyundai hikes prices for their cars. know the reason why?

Hyundai has hiked the prices of it’s SUV’s by Rs. 13,000 from April 1st, 2023. It has hiked the prices of – Creta, Venue, Alcazar, and Tucson SUVs.

Here is the pricing of all the petrol variants of Hyundai Creta –

And here is the pricing of the diesel variants of Hyundai Creta –

Hyundai has increased the price of Creta in range of Rs. 3,000 – Rs. 7,000 with variants such as E, EX, S, S+, SX, SX (O) and the Knight editions. Exception for variants such as SX Executive (both in petrol and diesel), S+ DCT, and SX (O) DCT do not get any price hike. The petrol variants E, EX, S, S+ Knight, and SX get a price hike of Rs. 3,000. However, other petrol variants that are combo variants like SX IVT, SX (O), and SX (O) Knight receive a price hike of Rs. 7,000. The petrol variants now starts at Rs. 10.87 lakhs for the base ‘E’ variant and top variant ‘SX (O) DCT’ at Rs. 18.34 lakh.

The diesel variants E, EX, S+, S+ Knight, SX, SX (O), SX (O) AT, and SX (O) Knight AT receive a price hike of Rs. 7,000. The diesel variants now start at Rs. 11.96 lakh for the base ‘E’ variant and goes al the way up to Rs. 19.20 lakh for the top end ‘SX (O) variant.’

Hyundai has increased the price of the Alcazar variants by Rs. 3,000 as now the petrol variants starts at Rs. 16.78 lakhs for the base ‘Prestige 6-str’ variant and goes all the way up to Rs. 20.28 lakh for the top variant ‘Signature (O)’ with 6-str and 7-str configurations as both cost the same. The diesel variants now starts at Rs. 17.73 lakhs for the base ‘Prestige 6-str’ and the top variant is priced at Rs. 20.88 lakh for the ‘Signature (O)’ with 6-str and 7-str configurations.

Hyundai has also hiked the price of their flagship SUV, Tucson, by Rs. 12,000 – Rs. 13,000 for variants such as Platinum, Signature, and Signature 4WD. The petrol variants of Tucson starts at Rs. 28.63 lakh for the ‘Platinum’ variant and goes all the up to Rs. 31.30 lakh for the ‘Signature.’ The diesel variants of Tucson now starts at Rs. 31.13 lakh for the ‘Platinum’ variant and Rs. 35.31 lakh for the ‘Signature 4WD’ variant.

Hyundai hikes of both the Venue and Venue N-Line between price range of Rs. 3,000 – Rs. 7,000 with exceptions for four variants. The petrol variants such as E, S, S(O), AND S(O) IMT get a price hike by Rs. 3,000. The S (O) and SX (O) IMT variant gets a price hike by Rs. 4,000. The S (O) DCT and SX (O) DCT variants gets a price hike of Rs. 7,000. The Venue petrol variants starts at Rs. 7.71 lakh for the base ‘E’ variant and Rs. 13.03 lakh for the SX (O) DCT variant.

The Venue N-Line variants – N6 DCT and N8 DCT both get a price hike of Rs. 7,000 and now it starts at Rs. 12.67 lakh for the N6 DCT variant and Rs. 13.66 lakh for N8 DCT variant.

The S+ diesel variant receives a price hike of Rs. 6,000 and is now priced at Rs. 10.46 lakh. The other two variant SX and SX (O) variant receives a price hike of Rs. 7,000 and now starts at Rs. 12.19 lakh for the SX variant and Rs. 12.99 lakh for the SX (O) variant.
