Hyundai Motors India revealed the sales figures for the month of May 2023 and it was a good month for them as they reported 48,601 units sales with 14.91% growth over the last year.

Hyundai Motors India sales in May 2023 were 48,601 units with 14.91% year-on-year growth against the 42,293 units in May 2022 with volume growth by 6,308 units. When comparing to April 2023 sales which is 49,701 units, it reports decline in sales by 2.21% month-on-month with decreased volume growth by 1,100 unit. So, Hyundai Motors India year-on-year growth remains positive while the month-on-month growth is negative, as in April 2023 it had almost touched the 50,000 units sold mark by obviously fell short, and then in May 2023, decline in volume was by 1,100 units. However, Hyundai will be launching the Exter which could help boost sales for them.

Hyundai Motors India other selling vehicles in India, exports some models from India to other International markets as well. In May 2023, it exported 11,000 units with a significant increase by 22.63% year-on-year over the 8,970 units in May 2022 with volume growth by 2,030 units. These exports numbers indicates the demand of Hyundai vehicles in international markets. In Cumulative, Hyundai total sales in May 2023 were 59,601 units which is 16.27% year-on-year growth over the 51,263 units in May 2022 with increased volume by 8,338 units.
Mr. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motors India Ltd. said, “We are glad to announce a healthy double-digit sales growth for the month of May 2023 fuelled by our blockbuster SUVs, Hyundai Creta and Hyundai Venue. The recently launched all-new Hyundai VERNA again clocked strong numbers, while Hyundai EXTER, our soon to be launched SUV, continues to ramp up excitement amongst customers in the SUV space.”
Hyundai is gearing up to launch it’s Micro SUV, Exter, on July 10th that will rival the Tata Punch, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger.
