Hyundai Motors is looking its SUV line-up in India, and also continue to dominate the SUV Segment by introducing a new SUV for the Indian Market which will rival the Toyota Fortuner SUV. Hyundai Palisade comes with way too many features, space, comfort, performance and so much more. They’re likely to price it in such a way take advantage of the Segment. Hyundai Palisade: What you need to know!

The Palisade is Hyundai’s response to Fortuner SUV by making their very premium SUV with spacious cabin, flexible seating, and advanced connectivity features for a perfect getaway vehicles for families who wants to go on a long ride for vacations. The Palisade design language is very bold and futuristic, although it is somewhat polarising, but it’ll eventually grow on you. The Palisade measures 4995 MM in length, 1975 MM in width, and height of 1750 MM, so people will be very comfortable in the SUV.

It features wheelbase of 2900 MM, Ground Clearance of 203 MM, Boot Space of 311 L which is little bigger than the Fortuner’s 296 L Boot Space, and 71 L fuel tank. The Palisade rides on 20-inch alloy wheels, but lower variants are equipped with 18-inch wheels. Moving, it features single-pane sunroof just above the front row, and from second row to end of third row, it features another sunroof which does not open unfortunately, only the front one does.

In other countries, the Palisade is powered by the 3.5 L or 3.8 L V6 Engine, but in India, its possible Hyundai could source the engine from Tucson, which would be the 2.0 L 4 Cylinder Turbo Diesel Engine producing 184 BHP and 416 NM of torque paired to 8 Speed Automatic Gearbox. In Features, it comes with ventilated and heated seats, 12.3-inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, 3-zone climate control, 8 way powered driver seat with 2-way lumbar support and memory system, Infinity Sound System, Adaptive Heads-up Display (HUD), powered tailgate, so much more.

It gets 3 Terrain Modes – Snow, Mud, and Sand, and 4 Drive Modes – Smart, Sport, Eco, and Comfort. Simply push the button at the center to switch between Drive and Terrain modes. Safety Features include 7 Airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, Tyre-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Rear Fog Lamps, Hill start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Parking Distance Warning, 360 Surround View Camera, Front and Rear Parking Sensors, and Level 2 ADAS with features like Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross Traffic Assist, and so much more.

Hyundai is expected to launch the Palisade SUV in India in the late 2024.
