Hyundai Exports Verna globally – What you need to know!
Hyundai in India will be the sole manufacturer to export the mid-size sedan Verna globally. Hyundai plans to produce 1.2 lakh units of the new Verna out of which 80,000 units will be reserved for the global market. What this means is that the export volumes will be increased by two-fold in FY 2024 from around 40,000 units in the previous year.
When the Hyundai was asked where it plans to export the new Verna first, they said the Verna will be exported to the Latin America, Middle East, and the African regions, and added that it is accepted and appreciated in all the markets as the exports will begin in June 2023. The Managing Director of Hyundai Motor India, Unsoo Kim, said that the all-new Verna is manufactured at the Chennai plant, with the vehicle being Made-in-India for the entire world and continue to explore the expand its presence in the international markets.
So far, Hyundai Motors India has exported 4.5 lakh mid-size sedans globally and is looking to double this number with it’s manufacturing capacity already expanded to 8.5 lakh units.
The new sixth-gen Verna has features such as ADAS, ventilated and heated seats for the driver and the passenger in the front, long wheelbase in the segment, Switchable type Infotainment and climate controller, Bose sound system, Power Driver seat, and 10.25-inch dual HD displays. The new Verna in India rivals the Honda City, Skoda Slavia, Volkswagen Virtus, and Maruti Ciaz.
