It’s time when we compare the newly-launched Hyundai Verna against one of it’s competitor, the Skoda Slavia to see what is a big difference between these cars.

The Hyundai Verna and Skoda Slavia are put against each other to see which is better in dimensions in the segment. The Skoda Slavia has length of 4541mm, which 6mm more than the Hyundai Verna. The Verna however has 1765mm width, which is 13mm more than Slavia’s. But, Slavia has more height of 1507mm that is 32mm more than the Verna. The Verna has 2670mm wheelbase that is 20mm than the Slavia and is longest wheelbase in the segment. Both the models are equipped with 15-inches to 16-inches wheel sizes. The Verna has a boot space of 528 litres, which is 7 litres than the Slavia.

Hyundai Verna is petrol powered only model and has two engines on offer – 1.5-litre petrol that produces 115 bhp and 143.8 Nm of torque paired to 6-speed MT and 7-step IVT (or CVT) Transmission. The other is the 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine that puts on 160 bhp and 253 Nm of torque paired to 6-speed Manual Transmission or 7-speed DCT Transmission.

Skoda Slavia is also petrol powered only model with two engine on offer – 1.0-litre petrol engine that puts out 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque paired to 6-speed Manual Transmission and 6-speed Torque Converter Automatic Transmission. The other is the 1.5-litre petrol engine that pumps out 147 bhp and 250 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed Manual Transmission and 7-speed DCT Transmission.
Both the cars gave features such as automatic climate control, height adjustable driver seat, cruise control, glove box cooling, ventilated seats, sun roof, 8-speaker sound system, wireless charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, the sound system Slavia gets is their own SKODA 8-speaker sound system whereas the new Verna gets the Bose’s premium 8-speaker sound system.
The Verna also gets heated seats for the driver and the passenger seats which the Slavia doesn’t. Also, it doesn’t have electric adjustable driver seat which the Verna does have as the first-in segment feature.
In safety, both cars gets ABS with EBD, six airbags, ESC, ISOFIX anchorages, reverse parking camera with sensors, Tyre-Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), automatic headlamps, and hill assist. A major difference between the Slavia and the Verna is the ADAS. The new Verna has the ADAS with 17-freaking features with it.
