Hyundai’s Creta in an EV Avatar, coming soon: All the details.

As an additional option in the electric compact SUV market, Hyundai will soon introduce its new Creta in an all-EV configuration. With the Creta being their best-selling SUV and now offering an electric version, this will be a game-changer for Hyundai.

New Creta EV: What to Expect?

New Hyundai Creta All Variants

Design and styling:

The recently launched Creta will serve as the foundation for the next Creta EV. While the newly released Creta and its design language are identical, there are some subtle design changes that will give the new Creta EV a more distinctive appearance. It is anticipated to get a redesigned front bumper that highlights its EV identity. In terms of side profile, it is likely to have some EV touches and a new set of 17-inch wheels. We could expect a few little designer adjustments in the back as well. This new electric SUV from Hyundai is expected to have an advanced driver assist system in addition to a plethora of features and an identical interior from the Creta with a few EV-specific tweaks.

Powertrain:

The forthcoming Creta EV is anticipated to include a 45kWh battery pack in conjunction with a single front axle-mounted electric motor that produces 138 BHP and 255 Nm of peak torque, much like its sibling Kona Electric, which is sold overseas. On a single charge, it can probably cover 400 kilometres. The Hyundai Creta EV will first be released in a FWD 4×2 version, but we may anticipate a powerful AWD version in the future.
