New-Gen Maruti Swift – What you need to know!

In the teaser image unveiled by Suzuki, the upcoming Swift showcases a stylish dual-tone exterior in blue and black, featuring several fresh design elements. While Suzuki officially dubs it the ‘Swift Concept,’ its appearance strongly suggests it’s ready for production.

The next-generation Swift maintains its familiar overall design language while introducing significant updates to its finer details. In contrast to the current generation’s curvaceous design, the new Swift showcases a sportier appearance, featuring a sharp character line that runs along the entire length of the exterior. The bonnet undergoes a substantial redesign, seamlessly integrating with the character line. The front end has also been revamped, incorporating a new grille design and a silver finish on the front chin.

Notably, the Suzuki logo, which used to be positioned within the front grille on the current Swift, has been repositioned above the grille. Moving to the rear, Suzuki has revamped the bumper with a more sporty design, and the character line from the sides continues above the revised tail lamps. Furthermore, the next-generation Swift introduces an updated alloy wheel design to complete its refreshed look. These design enhancements suggest an exciting evolution for the iconic Swift model.

Moving to the interiors, it features similar design elements as the Fronx and Brezza such as dashboard design with black and grey colour theme, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering wheel, and the toggle switches for the HVAC controls. In Engine Options, Suzuki hasn’t revealed anything but they’ve said the car will feature a “high efficiency engine that will strike a balance between driving performance, and fuel efficiency.”

The outgoing version features two powertrains – 1.2 L Petrol and CNG engine. The Fuel Efficiency in only Petrol engine is as high as 22.38 KMPL for Manual, and 22.56 KMPL for Automatic Gearbox. When they’re saying they’ll introduce high efficiency engine, it’s possibly it can introduce strong hybrid engine that can shoot the fuel efficiency all the way up to 35 – 40 KMPL. The other engine is the 1.2 L CNG engine with 30.9 KMPL fuel efficiency.

Moving on, Suzuki revealed that the 2024 Swift will feature enhanced safety features such as Dual Sensor Brake Support, Collision-Mitigating Braking, Adaptive High Beam System, and Driver Monitoring System. Other than this, no information has been revealed.

The 2024 Swift rivals the Tata Tiago, and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios. The i10 Nios is soon getting an ADAS update which will be the biggest first-in segment feature in this segment.
