Despite these variations, the India-bound Swift promises to offer enhanced features compared to its predecessor, all while maintaining competitive pricing. While crash test footage from Japan NCAP has surfaced online, showcasing an overall four-star rating, it’s important to note that this may not fully reflect the safety standards of the India-bound model until it undergoes Bharat NCAP testing.
The testing procedures conducted by JNCAP involved various scenarios, including frontal and rear-end collisions, as well as evaluations of the vehicle’s response to sudden obstacles like bicyclists and pedestrians. The new Swift exhibited favorable results in tests for autonomous braking, pedestrian detection, blind spot detection, lane keep assist, and both side-impact and frontal collisions.
The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift for India boasts an evolutionary design compared to its predecessor, powered by a new 1.2L Z series three-cylinder mild-hybrid petrol engine.
