The Maruti eVX, Maruti Suzuki’s highly anticipated electric SUV, will make its global debut on November 4 in Milan, Italy. This marks a significant milestone for the Indian-manufactured EV, as Suzuki has set ambitious goals for its export, positioning the eVX as a critical product in markets such as Europe and Japan.

Following the global unveiling, the production-spec Maruti eVX will make its Indian debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 from January 17-22. Production is scheduled to kick off at Suzuki’s Gujarat plant in March 2025, with 1.4 lakh units set as the initial annual production target, of which 50% is earmarked for export.India will be the first market to see the official pricing announcement for the Maruti eVX, with a launch timeline expected around March 2025. Shortly after, the eVX will begin its phased entry into select European countries and Japan, solidifying its role as a key global model for Suzuki.
Upon its release, the Maruti eVX will directly compete with the recently launched Tata Curvv EV, priced between Rs. 17.49 lakh and Rs. 21.99 lakh, as well as the forthcoming Hyundai Creta EV. Toyota’s iteration of the eVX, previewed as the Urban SUV concept, will also share the Gujarat plant production line, with both models likely to offer similar powertrain options.
While Maruti has yet to confirm all specifics, the eVX is expected to feature two battery pack options, a 48kWh and a 60kWh, along with efficient e-motors to support strong performance and range. Toyota’s version may feature an AWD variant, though Maruti has not yet disclosed whether the eVX will offer all-wheel-drive capability.
