Toyota Kirloskar Motor in August 2023 did total sales of 20,970 units with the Innova (HyCross + Crysta) alone pulled 8,666 units in sales, making it the best-selling car for Toyota.

In August 2023, the Toyota Innova (HyCross & Crysta) continued to be the leading car for Toyota, with combined sales of 8,666 units. This was a slight decrease from the 8,935 units sold in July 2023, with a volume decrease of 269 units. Ever since Toyota launched the HyCross back in December 2022, it has performing so well in sales for Toyota that they had to stop accepting bookings for the Hybrid as the waiting period crossed 2 and a half year since many people were opting for Strong Hybrid variants only.
At second position is the rebadged Maruti Baleno, the Glanza, that performed slightly better in sales with 4,932 units against the 4,902 units in July 2023 with volume increase by 30 units. The Glanza comes with the same powertrain and features as the Baleno like the 360-degree camera, Heads-up Display, 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, and few more. Next is the newly launched Rumion which is basically a rebadged Maruti Ertiga but with increased length. It did sales of 112 units. Up next is the Hyryder with 4,121 units over the 3,387 units in July 2023 and volume increase by 734 units. The Hyryder is a rebadged Grand Vitara with same features between the two SUVs that comes with strong-hybrid powertrain as well.
The Fortuner sales dipped from 3,129 units in July 2023 to 2,825 units in August 2023, and so is the case for the Hilux, that is it pulled only 133 units against the 216 units with 83 units loss. The Camry pulled 181 units over the 190 units in July 2023. The updated new Vellfire went unsold and so did the Land Cruiser LC300. Toyota recently filed a trademark under the nameplate, Urban Cruiser Taisor, which is most likely for their version of the Maruti Fronx. It’s expected to launch in November 2023. It will come with features like 360-Degree Surround View Camera, wireless charging pad, 9-inch infotainment system, paddle shifters, LED headlamps, and so much more.
