Jeep Compass Petrol, Diesel All Variants Upgraded to BS 6, BS 4 Trims Selling at Huge Discounts

The petrol and diesel variants of Jeep Compass have been made BS6 while certain variants have also been discontinued

Recently only, Jeep India have updated the Limited 4×4 AT, Longitude 4×4 AT diesel variants to Bharat Stage 6 and before that they already had off roading Trailhawk trim with BS6.Now the American SUV manufacturer have updated all its variants to BS6 compliance.

Along with this, certain trims including the base sport along with Limited and Limited option variants of the Compass SUV have been discontinued.This has led to an increase in the introductory price of the SUV.Now Sport Plus MT is the base variant of Jeep Compass and Limited Plus offered in DCT automatic is the top spec trim.For the diesel, variant lineup like the petrol also begins from Sports plus going upto Trailhawk. 

The BS 4 Jeep Compass was priced between Rs. 15.6 Lakhs and Rs. 23.11 Lakhs and now the BS6 comes between Rs. 16.49 Lakhs and Rs. 27.60 Lakhs (All Prices, Ex Showroom).The petrol variants have got a priced hike between Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 50,000 with Sport Plus and Longitude(O) DCT getting premium by Rs. 50,000 and Limited+ DCT petrol getting expensive by Rs. 25,000 in BS 6 era.

In the diesel lineup, Sport, Limited and Limited Option have been removed.The price of Sport+ from BS4 to BS6 have got increased by Rs. 1 Lakh while the next variant, Longitude Option have got premium by Rs. 1.23 Lakh and the Limited and Limited Plus have got expensive by Rs. 1.10 Lakhs.The automatic variants in diesel comes with 9 speed automatic transmission.

The 1.4 litre 4 cylinder Multiair petrol engine with a capacity of 1368 cc makes 160 BHP @ 5500 RPM and 250 NM @ 2500 RPM.It gets option of 6 speed manual and 7 speed DCT automatic transmission with ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 14.3 kmpl and 14.1 kmpl respectively.While the 2.0 L Fiat sourced 1956 cc 4 cylinder diesel mill produces 171 BHP @ 3750 RPM and 250 NM @ 1750 RPM.The unit gets the option of 6 Speed manual and 9 Speed automatic transmission option with mileage of 17.1 kmpl.
