Kawasaki India has launched the 2023 Vulcan S in India, with a price tag of Rs. 7.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle is available in a single variant and comes in one paint option – Metallic Matte Carbon Gray. The 2023 model retains the same mechanical specifications as its predecessor, with an unchanged styling that includes a long and low stance, a single-pod headlight, a curvy fuel tank design, a rider-only saddle, and a compact exhaust.

The motorcycle is powered by a 649cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine that delivers a maximum output of 59.9bhp at 7,500rpm and a peak torque of 62.4Nm at 6,600rpm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox. The fuel tank has a capacity of 14 litres, and the motorcycle has a kerb weight of 235 kg. The seat height is 705 mm, and the ground clearance is 130 mm.

The 2023 Vulcan S uses a perimeter frame, and the suspension duties are handled by 41mm telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the rear. The braking tasks are performed by a 300mm single disc at the front and a 250mm single rotor at the rear, with a dual-channel ABS providing safety.

The Kawasaki Vulcan S rivals the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and Benelli 502C in the Indian market, with the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 being a direct rival. The Benelli 502C is another competitor, but both rivals retail at a much lower price bracket than the Kawasaki Vulcan S.

The 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S has been launched to cater to the demand of customers who want a premium cruiser motorcycle. The motorcycle’s unchanged styling and mechanical specifications may disappoint some, but it will still attract customers who prefer the Kawasaki brand and its reputation for reliability and performance.

Overall, the 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan S is a formidable motorcycle that provides a premium riding experience for its customers. Its powerful engine, reliable components, and safety features make it a worthy competitor in the premium cruiser segment.
