Maruti Suzuki introduced the updated Ertiga in India. Starting at Rs. 8.35 lakh, ex-showroom, the new 2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Facelift is priced. These measurements demonstrate that the Kia Carens is larger than the Ertiga in all three dimensions. Ertiga has body-coloured ORVMs, a new back door garnish with a chrome insert, dynamic chrome winged front grille, floating type roof design in the rear, machined two-tone alloy wheels, and 3D origami style LED tail lamps.
With features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen, fully digital instrument cluster, automatic air conditioning, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, front ventilated seats, a sunroof, multiple driving modes (Sport, Eco, Normal), Bose sound system, electric double folding second-row seats, driver-seat height adjustment, cruise control, and ambient lighting, the Carens clearly has the advantage in this area. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, in contrast, has features like a seven-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital instrument cluster, push-button start/stop, keyless entry, automatic air conditioning, idle stop-start, steering-mounted controls, and dedicated AC vents for three rows.
Both a 1.5-liter normally aspirated and a 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine are available for the Kia Carens. The 1.5-liter gasoline engine can produce 113 horsepower and 144 Nm when paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine produces 138 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque. It is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) with paddle shifters. The 1.5-liter diesel engine in the Kia Carens produces 113 horsepower and 250 Nm as an option.
In contrast, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has a 1.5-liter petrol engine with a Smart Hybrid system that produces 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of maximum torque. Both a six-speed manual and a four-speed automatic transmission are available with this engine. It’s interesting to note that the Ertiga has a bi-fuel CNG option. On the other hand, the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga no longer offers a diesel engine option.
