After the great start in the Indian market by Kia Motors, the Korean car makers are planning to launch their second car in a few days of time from now.Carnival will be the second product for India after Seltos and now it has fully revealed ahead of its official launch at the Auto Expo 2020 event.
Talking about the exterior, upfront it features LED projector headlamps, LED fog lamps and a very appealing and bold Kia’s signature tiger nose front grille.Faux skid plates can been on both the front and rear ends.Sides looks pretty neat and those 18 inch alloys looks cool.The rear boasts tail lamps which are LED in nature.Chrome has been used perfectly all around the MPV.
Kia Carnival will be available with dual black and beige premium interior.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system is placed at the centre os the dashboard while for the 2nd row passengers also 10.1 inch entertainment screens are also available.
The MPV comes in a variety of seating options.It will get the option of 7, 8 and 9 seating options.While the 7 and 8 seater Carnival will be 3 row scenario, the 9 seater variant will a 4 row setup with captain seats in 2nd and 3rd row.
We have seen how much feature loaded Seltos is its segment and the Carnival won’t be any different as it will be featuring a number of segment first equipment.Top features of this luxury MPV are 10.1 inch rear entertainment screens, 8 inch touchscreen infotainment with android auto, Apple CarPlay, voice command, navigation, UVO connect, wireless charging, powered tailgate, power sliding doors, 3. Zone automatic ac, leather seats and steering wheel, Harman Kardon 8 speaker setup, powered driver seat with ventilation, dual panel electro sunroof, push start stop button with smart keyless entry, cruise control, air purifier and electronic parking brake.
Safety equipment list includes 6 airbags, rear parking camera, front parking sensors, electronic stability programme, rollover mitigation, all 4 disc brakes, corner braking control, tyre pressure monitoring system among others.
Powering this premium MPV will be a 2.2 litre VGT 4 cylinder BS-VI compliant diesel motor with power and torque figures of 200 PS @ 3800 RPM and 440 NM @ 1500 – 2750 RPM.This engine gets paired to 8 speed Sportsmatic automatic transmission unit.
Bookings for the Kia Carnival are unofficially open.The Kia MPV will be launched in India on February 5.It is expected to carry a introductory price of Rs. 26 Lakhs with range topping feature loaded Limousine trim expected to cost around Rs. 30 Lakh (All Prices, Ex Showroom).
