Kia India reported May 2024 sales of 19,500 units reporting growth Year-on-Year (YoY) while Month-on-Month (MoM) Sales were on decline. Leading the sales were the Seltos, Sonet, Carens, and EV6 with Sonet topping the sales for Kia.

Last Month, Kia sold 19,500 Units with a Year-on-Year (YoY) Growth by 3.91%, and the model that was leading the sales was again the Sonet with 7,433 Units in May 2024 which is down from 8,251 unit sales last year by 9.91% with a decline in volume by 818 units. Compared to April 2024 sales of 7,901 units, it still reports Month-on-Month (MoM) decline by 5.92%. Kia in January 2024 launched the facelift of Sonet which saw it getting features similar to Seltos like dual 10.25-inch Displays, One touch up/down for all windows, 360 Camera, Drive and Traction Modes, Level 1 ADAS (except Seltos has Level 2), and so much more.

At 2nd position is the Seltos with 6,736 unit sales which is a big YoY growth by 65.71% resulting in volume growth by 2,671 units. When compared to April 2024 sales, it reports slight growth of just 2 units. Kia recently updated the Seltos’s HTK+ trim with Panoramic Sunroof since the big demand for Indian consumers is the sunroof, and Kia knows how to meet their demands with exceptional needs.

Carens sales fell down to 5,316 units in May 2024 from 6,367 units last year resulting in 16.51% YoY decline; and down from 5,328 units in April 2024 reporting 16.51% MoM decline. Carens is soon getting a facelift update with tons of new upgrades that will give a tough competition to its rival, Hyundai Alcazar, Maruti XL6, MG Hector Plus, Mahindra XUV700. The EV6 sales were down from 83 units last year to 15 units in May 2024 with 81.93% decline; but reports growth over April 2024 5 unit sales by 200%.
Soon joining Kia Sales will be the Carnival Luxurious MPV with launch expected to take place in coming months. The Carnival sports an insane amount of features, space and comfort, and luxurious feel to the cabin. Other SUV joining will be the EV9 which is Kia’s flagship luxurious 6/7 Seater SUV with crazy tech, range, features, and performance on offer. It’s also expected to launch near the end of this year.
