Kia has silently revised the line-up of its two SUVs – Seltos and Sonet, where both the SUVs received a new update which includes a new variant and colour option. Here’s everything you need to know about these two SUVs.
Kia Seltos, Sonet Silently Updated: What’s New!
Kia India has introduced a new variant, GTX for both the Seltos and the Sonet with both available only with Automatic Transmission. The X-line trim of both the SUV previously was available with Xclusive Matte Graphite colour, but now it gets the Aurora Black Pearl paint option. This is good as the Matte Black Paint is difficult to maintain as it shows dirt, scratches, etc. and it often requires specialised cleaning products.

Sonet GTX Doesn’t Get –

Seltos GTX Doesn’t Get –

The Sonet GTX Trim gets plenty of features such as 360 Surround View Camera with Blind Spot Monitor, Dual 10.25-inch Displays, ventilated front seats, powered driver seat, Air Purifier, Automatic Headlamps, front and rear parking sensors, 6 airbags, and LED Fog Lamps.
The Seltos GTX trim also plenty of features like dual 10.25-inch Displays, Dual-Zone Climate Control, 360 Surround View Camera with Blind Spot Monitor, All Windows One Touch Up/Down, Electric Parking Brake with Auto Hold, Sliding Arm rest [none of its trim get this], and Level 2 ADAS but doesn’t have functions such as Blind Spot Collision Warning, Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear-Cross Traffic Collision Warning, and Rear-Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist.
Mechanically, both the SUVs remain unchanged. The Sonet has 3 engine options – 1.2 L Petrol with 6 Speed MT, 1.0 L Turbo Petrol with 6 Speed MT and 7 Speed DCT, and the 1.5 L Diesel with 6 Speed IMT / MT / AT. The Seltos with two options – 1.5 L Petrol with 6 Speed MT and 7 Speed IVT Gearbox, 1.5 L Turbo Petrol with 6 Speed MT and 7 Speed DCT, and the 1.5 L Diesel with 6 Speed IMT / MT / AT.
The Sonet GTX Petrol trim is priced at Rs. 13.71 Lakh and Diesel trim at Rs. 14.56 Lakh while the Seltos GTX trim both Petrol and Diesel is priced at Rs. 18.99 L.
