Kia Seltos official bookings begun in India on July 17, 2019.And in this single day, it has received massive 6,046 bookings out of which 1,028 bookings have been made through their online website.
Kia Seltos will be launched in India on August 22 and it rivals Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Tata Harrier and MG Hector.The SUV segment is growing at a much faster rate.Take MG Hector, which is currently on waiting period of as high as 7 months in some states.
Seltos gets a very stylish and attractive design philosophy.There is LEDs all around with strong and muscular tiger nose grille at the front.Then it gets 17 inch wheels and raises up rear portion.In terms of dimensions, it is bigger and has better wheelbase as well.Boot space is 433 litres which is bigger than that of Harrier and Creta.
There are certain reasons why Seltos have attracted so many people.One of them has to be stunning exterior and premium interiors.There is option for all black as well as dual tone theme upholstery.
Some of the key features of Kia Seltos are 8 inches Heads up Display, 8 way powered front two seats along with ventilation, two step second row seat recline, steering mounted controls, 10.25 in touchscreen infotainment setup, 60:40 split rear sear, UVO connect with 37 connected car features, 3 adjustable rear seat headrests, wireless charging, UV cut glass, rear sunshade, smart air purifier, and sound mood lighting along with 400 W 8 speaker Bose Sound system.
Kia Seltos also gets 3 types of drive modes as well as terrain management system including wet, sand and mud modes.

A variety of engines are on offer.It gets 1.5 and 1.4 petrol engines along with 1.5 L diesel units.All these engines are BS-VI compliant.These are teamed up with 6 speed manual gearbox as standard and all of them gets a different type of automatic transmission which means that there are 3 types of gearboxes.
There is GT Line as well as Tech Line.The 1.4 turbo GDi petrol engine can do 0-100 in 9.7 seconds while 1.5 petrol and diesel can go from 0-100 in 11.8 seconds and 11.5 seconds respectively.
The claimed fuel economy of petrol 1.4 MT and DCT is 16.2 kmpl and 16.2 kmpl respectively.While for 1.5 petrol, it is 16.4 kmpl (MT) and 16.3 kmpl (CVT).And for 1.5 diesel manual is 20.8 kmpl and for 1.5 diesel torque converter automatic is 17.8 kmpl.
Kia Seltos can be booked at a token mount of Rs. 25,000.It can be had in a number of colour options including 8 single tone paints as well as 5 dual tone colour options.
At the time of launch of Kia Seltos, there will be 265 touchpoints which would be further increased upto 300 in 2020 and upto 350 in 2021.Kia Seltos will be produced at car makers’s Anantapur plant in Andhra Pradesh which is about 536 acre and has massive production capacity.
Kia Seltos will be kept slightly premium than Creta and Kicks in terms of pricing.It is expected to be priced between Rs. 11 Lakhs and Rs. 17 Lakhs (Ex Showroom).
