Kia has trademarked Syros Nameplate which is possible it’s name for the spied SUV, Clavis launching both in ICE and Electric version.

Kia trademarked Syros nameplate in India which may indicate that it could be for the Clavis which has been spied numerous times in India undergoing tests. The Clavis SUV will be positioned between the Sonet and the Seltos and well if you notice, both the name has the starting initial “S”. Syros also starts with letter S and could be an indication that the Clavis will actually be called as Syros globally.
Moreover, Kia has few other nameplates trademarked like the K-Series – K1, K2, K3, K4, K5, K6, K7, K8, K9, the EV Series – EV1, EV2, EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6, EV7, EV8, EV9; and the Clavis name registered near the end of 2023. Kia had trademarked Syros on 19th March 2024 and got approval last month on 29th.
Kia Clavis is expected to slightly longer than Sonet in Dimensions, possibly between 4.1 – 4.2 Meters in length with a 2.6 Meters Wheelbase. It’s expected to come with 1.2 L Petrol, 1.0 L Turbo Petrol, and 1.5 L Diesel Engine Engine taken from the Sonet. The SUV was spied with features such as panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, Ventilated Seats, 360 Surround View Camera, and Dual 10.25-inch Displays.
Kia is expected to unveil the Clavis SUV during the festive season with launch likely by the end of 2024, or in early 2025.
