Kia’s flagship SUV has been spied yet again completely undisguised revealing key details like a full closed front fascia, Z-shape LED DRLs, next to it is mini-LEDs for Headlamps, skid plates, flat curv-ish hood for better visibility, 20-inch alloy wheels with unique design, functional roof rails on top, connected tail-lamps at rear, and so much more. The design is based on the “Opposites United” language, something which you will now see on all of their models in the coming months or years.

Notably, the spied version was the GT-line trim. The electric SUV sports a length exceeding 5 Meters, the EV9 is constructed on Kia’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), promising robust performance and spacious interiors. According to Kia, the EV9 can travel up to 541 kilometers on a single charge and is available in two variants. The Standard trim globally features a 76.1 kWh battery pack with a single rear-wheel-drive motor generating 214.5 BHP and 350 NM of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 KMPH in 8.2 seconds with a top speed of 185 KMPH. The long-range trim offers a 99.8 kWh battery pack with two drive-type options: Rear-Wheel-Drive (RWD) with a single motor producing 201 BHP and 350 NM torque, achieving 0 to 100 KMPH in 9.4 seconds, or All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) with a dual-motor setup delivering 380 BHP and 600 NM of torque, reaching 0 to 100 KMPH in 5.3 seconds with a top speed of 200 KMPH.Features-wise, the EV9 boasts Level 3 ADAS with over 20 functions, Thin-lens LED Projection Headlamps, Remote Smart Parking Assist 2, Digital Center Mirror, Digital Side Mirrors, a 14-speaker Meridian Premium Sound System, Drawer-style Expanding Console, Dual Sunroofs, Hidden-type touch buttons for HVAC controls, Heads-up Display (HUD), 2nd Row Swivel Seats (exclusive to the 6-seater version), 3-zone Climate Control, Dual 12.3-inch Displays for Infotainment and Digital Cluster, Power Tailgate, Heated and Ventilated Seats for the 1st and 2nd rows, 360 Surround View Camera, and more.Kia is expected to launch the EV9 SUV near the end of this year with expected price of Rs. 85 Lakhs. At this price point, it’ll have only rival, and that is the BMW iX which is priced at Rs. 1.40 Cr.
