The side profile sees 18-inch alloy wheels on the side, functional roof rails on top, sliding doors to enter 2nd and 3rd row, and textured pattern on the rear quarter glass. The rear profile continues the L-shape theme with the tail-lamps connected via an LED light bar; and the rear bumper sees mix of black plastic and faux silver trim.
The interior of the MPV will be reminiscent to the global-spec model like the minimalistic theme with dual 12.3-inch displays – Infotainment and Digital Driver’s Display, reworked HVAC Controls located below the displays, rotary drive selector, front and rear dash cameras, a head-up display, a digital rear-view mirror, an upgraded digital key, and ambient lighting along the dashboard. Additionally, there could be an option for a 14.6-inch entertainment unit for 2nd row.
Features-wise, the MPV will have ventilated and heated seats, Dual Sunroof, Dynamic Torque Vectoring, KRELL Sound System, and so much more. In Safety, the Carnival internationally gets 8 Airbags, ADAS with Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keep Assist, Forward and Rear Collision Warning, among other functions. It’s possible the Indian-spec version will be sporting these features as well.
Kia Carnival before being discontinued was available with 2.2 L 4 Cylinder Turbo Diesel Engine delivering 197.2 BHP and 440 NM Torque mated to an 8 Speed Automatic Gearbox. It’s possible Kia will retain this engine option and make it compliant with the BS6 norms.
Kia is expected to launch the new Carnival during the festive season.
