Spy shots of Kia’s India-specific SUV, the Clavis, have emerged during testing in Korea, providing substantial evidence that the vehicle will indeed be a compact SUV with an upright stance and design. It appears to be a crossover of the international Soul SUV, but what distinctly confirms its Indian origin is the presence of MRF Tyres.

Despite heavy camouflage, the SUV’s design reveals intriguing features such as L-shaped LED DRLs reminiscent of upcoming Kia EVs, potentially connected by a light bar. The front bumper boasts skid plates, with a radar panel above indicating advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) like Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist.
The hood is nearly flat with a slight curve at the nose, while the side profile echoes the Kia Soul’s upright stance. Noteworthy exterior elements include 16-inch X-like dual-tone alloy wheels, blacked-out ORVMs housing Blind Spot Monitoring cameras, and functional roof rails. The inclusion of a panoramic sunroof is sure to please Indian consumers.
