The Kia Clavis will fit between the Seltos and the Sonet in Kia’s lineup. It’s a new SUV that’s still hidden under heavy camouflage, but we can see its tall and boxy shape from the testing photos in Korea. Kia is testing multiple Clavis SUVs, and we’ve spotted one with special alloy wheels.

Even though it’s covered up, we can make out some features like dual-tone roof rails, alloy wheels, door-mounted mirrors, a special hood, flared wheel arches, special door handles, LED lights, and a possible light bar at the front. Inside, the Clavis is expected to have similar features to the Sonet, such as ventilated front seats, a large touchscreen, a digital dashboard, a powered driver’s seat, a 360-degree camera, and an air purifier. It will also have some upgrades like advanced safety features and a big sunroof, which will bring it closer to the Seltos.For Powertrains, Kia is working on an electric version of the Clavis, but it won’t come out at the same time as the ICE version. The ICE lineup is expected to include a 1.2 L naturally-aspirated petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, a 1.0 L turbo petrol engine available with a 6-speed IMT and 7-speed DCT, and a 1.5 L diesel engine offered with a 6-speed manual, IMT, and automatic gearbox. . We don’t know much about the electric version yet, but it’s expected to have a range of around 350 to 450 KMs.The Clavis is starting its testing in India now, and we can expect it to launch by the end of 2024, with a big reveal happening around the festive season in September.
